Nestled in Overseas Chinese Town, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Splendid China & China Folk Culture Village is a national 5A scenic area. The two parks were combined in 2003 and famed as an open-air ethnic folk museum.

It holds 28 life-sized traditional ethnic minority houses displaying indigenous architectural wisdom. Daily folk song and dance shows, flagship performances including *Oriental Rainbow Garment Show*, *Legend of the Desert Frontier*, *Dragon and Phoenix Dance China*, plus the intangible cultural heritage iron fireworks show present delicate ethnic embroidery, traditional dances, heritage crafts and ancient history.

Guests can join the Water-Splashing Festival, Torch Festival and tie-dye workshops to experience unique festival rituals and local cuisines. The adjacent miniature zone features scaled replicas of 82 landmarks like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City to introduce ancient architecture and millennia-long Chinese history.

Without leaving Shenzhen, visitors can learn about historic buildings, experience diverse folk customs of China’s 56 ethnic groups and grasp the nation’s core cultural trait of unity in diversity.
