Meeting Point
Pick up at your hotel
- We can pick you up in your hotel only if it's located within these three specific areas: La Carolina Park, Plaza Foch, or the Historic Center. If your hotel is outside of these areas, we can arrange pickup for an additional fee. If you don't choose any of the above options, the default pickup point will be Av Naciones Unidas and Av Shyris, on the north side of La Carolina Park, right in front of a Banco del Pacífico branch.
Quito Cable Car
We drive from the hotel to the Quito cable car, purchase our ticket (admission not included), and then ascend for approximately 20 minutes to the highest point of the cable car, Cruz Loma, at 4,200 meters above sea level. We take a few minutes to acclimatize while taking beautiful photos of the Quito landscape from above.
Hiking on the trail
After acclimatizing, we can take a short hike along the trail leading to the summit of the Ruco Pichincha volcano. We won't hike the entire summit because it would take about four hours. We'll only walk a few kilometers, pass by the swing, take photos with the horses or alpacas that are usually there; you can also buy a hot drink; then we'll return to the vehicle and head back down to the city.
Driving to the middle of the world
Once we got off the cable car, we drove 1 hour north to reach the city of Mitad del Mundo.
Lunch time
Once we arrive at the Middle of the World, located north of Quito, in the San Antonio de Pichincha sector, we can take advantage of the midday to have lunch, the choice is free (not included in the price).
Visit to Ciudad Mitad del Mundo
We entered the site known as the Middle of the World, a tourist complex that houses the monument commemorating Ecuador as the center of the planet (ticket not included). There are several places to visit: ancestral homes, the ethnographic museum, a planetarium, a cacao museum, and a replica of the train. There are also restaurants, bars, craft shops, and much more. We have two hours to enjoy the site.
Ending Point
Return to Quito, we drop you off at the same pick-up point in the morning
