1. Pick-up time: Early morning departure, usually around 4:00 AM, to arrive at Abu Simbel in time for the morning visit.

2. Travel duration: Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours each way from Aswan.

3. Road conditions: The route is a well-paved desert highway; police convoy is not required anymore, but speed limits are enforced.

4. Comfort stops: Short rest stop(s) may be made along the way for refreshments and restroom breaks.

5. Sightseeing time: Around 2 hours to explore the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Queen Nefertari.

6. Photography: Allowed outside and inside the temples without flash; tripod use may require a permit.

7. Climate: Expect cooler temperatures in the early morning and very hot weather by midday – bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.

8. Food & drinks: Bring snacks and bottled water; lunch is not included unless arranged in advance.

9. Physical requirements: There is some walking and climbing of steps at the site; comfortable shoes are recommended.

10. Tickets: Entry tickets are not included unless stated in the tour price.

11. Return to Aswan: Early afternoon arrival, usually between 1:30–2:00 PM.
