Abu Simbel Temples

Visit the breathtaking Abu Simbel Temples, masterpieces of ancient Egyptian art and architecture built by Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC. These two colossal rock temples were dedicated to Ramses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. Admire the four towering statues guarding the entrance, the beautifully preserved carvings inside, and the stunning alignment that illuminates the inner sanctuary twice a year. Relocated by UNESCO to protect them from Lake Nasser, Abu Simbel remains one of Egypt’s greatest archaeological achievements and a true symbol of ancient power and devotion.

Temple of Queen Nefertari

The Temple of Queen Nefertari, also known as the Small Temple, stands beside the grand monument of Ramses II at Abu Simbel and is dedicated to his beloved wife and the goddess Hathor. This beautifully carved temple honors the deep affection Ramses had for Nefertari, portraying her as an equal to the pharaoh himself — a rare honor in ancient Egypt. Six majestic statues grace the façade, depicting both Nefertari and Ramses II in perfect harmony. Inside, exquisite wall reliefs and colorful scenes illustrate the queen’s divine status, musical offerings to Hathor, and moments of royal worship, making this temple a true symbol of love, art, and devotion.

“Amazing experience”

We talked with Ali to change the route and add more stops and there was no problem. He has a lot of information on all the places and makes It easy to understand. “Wish we had time to do more tours with Ali”

Ali is a tour guide who goes above and beyond for his guests! We had a great time on this tour with Ali, although we were sad that it was our final day of touring with him. He was proactive in suggesting that we do the Valley of the Nobles instead of the Valley of the Queens because it showed more of daily life and given the main tomb in Valley of the Queens is closed. Ali is patient, waiting for the whole group before continuing. He answers questions clearly. Also, when dropping us off to our hotel Ali was very kind to help us find a place to wait for our flight when our plans changed. He also took us to the airport as a last minute request. Thanks Ali, we loved it!
