09:00 AM

Giza Plateau

Our first stop is the legendary Giza Pyramid Complex, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the last one still standing. You'll begin with the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the three pyramids, built over 4,500 years ago as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu. Standing at its base, you'll truly appreciate the incredible scale and precision of ancient Egyptian engineering — built without modern machinery, yet aligned almost perfectly with the cardinal points.

Next, we'll visit the Pyramid of Khafre, which still retains some of its original limestone casing near the top, and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaure. I'll share the fascinating history behind their construction and the myths that still surround these monuments today.

We'll then head to the iconic Great Sphinx of Giza, the mysterious limestone statue with a lion's body and a pharaoh's head, believed to guard the pyramid complex.

For unforgettable views, we'll stop at the famous Panorama Point, where all nine pyramids of Giza can be seen together — the 3 large pyramids built for the kings, and 6 smaller ones built for the queens. Camel riding is available here as an optional activity, offering a magical way to enjoy this breathtaking panoramic scene.

Throughout this stop, I'll bring the history to life with stories about the pharaohs and daily life in ancient Egypt, going beyond the facts found in any guidebook.

01:00 PM

The Egyptian Museum

Our second stop is the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, one of the oldest and most iconic museums in the world, housing over 120,000 artifacts spanning ancient Egyptian history. Built in 1902, this historic museum offers a fascinating, old-world atmosphere unlike any other.

You'll see incredible treasures including royal statues, sarcophagi, and everyday objects from daily life in ancient Egypt. Among the highlights are stunning artifacts from the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms, giving you a broad overview of thousands of years of Egyptian civilization.

I'll guide you through the museum's most significant halls, sharing the stories behind key pieces and explaining how ancient Egyptians lived, worshipped, and prepared for the afterlife. You'll also see the mummies of Yuya and Tuya, the parents of Queen Tiye, remarkable for their exceptional state of preservation — while the rest of the Royal Mummies were relocated to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

This museum offers a unique contrast to the modern Grand Egyptian Museum — a chance to experience Egyptology the way it's been presented for over a century, filled with charm, history, and countless untold stories waiting to be discovered.

Throughout this stop, I'll connect what you see here to the broader story of ancient Egypt, setting the stage for the rest of our journey through Cairo's incredible layered history.

12:00 PM

Stop for lunch (optional)

Optional lunch stop available upon request. If you'd like to enjoy a traditional Egyptian meal during the tour, just let me know in advance and I'll arrange a stop at a local restaurant that suits your taste and budget. Lunch cost is not included in the tour price.
