Discover the true flavors of Egypt on an authentic food journey guided by a local insider. Instead of touristy spots, you’ll be taken to hidden eateries and family-run restaurants where Egyptians themselves gather—sampling traditional dishes while uncovering the stories behind each bite.
This tour is more than just dining; it’s a cultural immersion. You’ll taste:
• Koshary – Egypt’s beloved national dish of pasta, lentils, chickpeas, and tangy tomato sauce
• Ta’amiya (Egyptian falafel) – crafted from fava beans, fresh herbs, and spices
• Hawawshi – spiced minced meat baked inside warm baladi bread
• Molokhia – a garlicky green soup cherished in Egyptian homes
• Plus fresh baladi bread, pickles, and local street snacks
The experience concludes in a traditional tea house, where you’ll unwind with a glass of mint tea (shai bel na’na’) and, if you wish, enjoy shisha just like the locals.

“Pyramids of Giza, and Saqqara/Dahshur/Memphis tours”
Waleed helpfully arranged a wonderful tour of the Giza Pyramids complex, but fell ill the night before and was unable to take our family of 5 on the tour personally. Fortunately, he was able to arrange for his Forever Egypt associate Omran to be our guide so there were no interruptions to our plans. Omran was friendly, fun, and knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and gave us an enjoyable and informative tour. We were favourably impressed and wanted to book another tour with them for the sites at Saqqara. Dahshur, and Memphis. Omran was unavailable and Waleed was still ill, but Waleed arranged for another guide, Mina, to take us. Mina was another wonderful guide, with deep knowledge and familiarity with the sites. We had a very full and fun day with Mina, who similarly spoke excellent English. Waleed, Omran, Mina, and Forever Egypt are dependable, competent, and genuinely good people. We feel fortunate to have had them lead us to even greater understanding and appreciation of treasures of Egypt, and would highly recommend them. We will be calling them again when we tackle Upper Egypt, which thanks to their enthusiastic passion and knowledge, moves higher on our list.

“Great experience in our last day!”
While Waleed was not available, he recommended someone from his team, Omran, who was fantastic and a lovely human being. He told us about Egyptian history, but also gave us great local cultural insights, and we really enjoyed our conversations with him. When we asked to have lunch somewhere “where locals go,” he took us exactly to such a place - a simple, nice eatery and not a tourist trap. It was a perfect way to close our time in Egypt, as it was our last day. The driver was also very friendly and the car was new and comfortable. They brought us to the airport on time, and we left with nice memories of our day and the people we met.
