The museum’s modern design blends contemporary architecture with ancient motifs, offering a stunning setting to experience Egypt’s cultural legacy

The Great Pyramid of Khufu

Embark on a remarkable journey to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest and oldest of the Giza Pyramids and the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Rising to an original height of 146 meters, this ancient masterpiece was built over 4,500 years ago as a grand tomb for Pharaoh Khufu. Explore its massive limestone blocks and internal passageways with your private guide, uncovering extraordinary engineering and fascinating stories that continue to intrigue historians and archaeologists today.

Pyramid Complex of Khafre

Discover the Pyramid of Khafre, the second-largest of the Giza Pyramids and a stunning example of ancient Egyptian architecture. Built over 4,500 years ago for Pharaoh Khafre, this pyramid stands 136 meters high and is distinguished by remnants of its original casing stones at the summit. Elevated on the Giza Plateau, it appears taller than the Great Pyramid. Your tour explores its construction, advanced techniques, and its link to the Great Sphinx, believed to depict Khafre’s likeness.

Pyramid of Menkaure

Explore the Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest yet most captivating of the three Giza Pyramids. Built over 4,500 years ago for Pharaoh Menkaure, this monument rises 65 meters and is renowned for its detailed construction using granite and limestone. Despite its modest size, it reflects exceptional craftsmanship and royal significance. Your tour uncovers its history, unique architectural features, and role within the Giza complex, offering insights into Menkaure’s legacy and the enduring mysteries of ancient Egypt.

Panoramic View of the Pyramids

Experience the breathtaking panoramic view of the Giza Pyramids, where the majestic trio of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure rises proudly against the desert horizon. From this vantage point, you can admire the grandeur of these ancient wonders together, capturing the essence of the Giza Plateau in one stunning scene. The panoramic spot is perfect for photography, offering a remarkable perspective of the pyramids aligned in harmony with the vast surrounding landscape. As you enjoy the view, your private guide will share captivating stories and historical insights, making this moment one of the most unforgettable highlights of your Egypt Travel experience.

Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of King Khafre are among Egypt’s most iconic and mysterious landmarks. The Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, is widely believed to represent King Khafre, guarding the Giza Plateau for over 4,500 years. Measuring 73 meters long and 20 meters high, it is one of the largest and oldest statues in the world. Nearby, the Valley Temple of Khafre stands as a remarkable example of Old Kingdom architecture, once used for royal funerary rituals. Its massive limestone blocks and well-preserved statues showcase the grandeur of ancient Egyptian craftsmanship. Together, these sites provide a fascinating glimpse into Egypt’s religious traditions and architectural legacy, making them essential highlights of any Egypt Travel experience.

Grand Egyptian Museum

Continue your journey with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located only minutes from the Giza Pyramids. As the largest museum dedicated to a single civilization, GEM presents an extraordinary journey through more than 5,000 years of Egyptian history. Walk through expansive exhibition halls at your own pace with the guidance of your private English-speaking Egyptologist, and admire over 100,000 artifacts, including the complete treasures of Tutankhamun. The museum’s innovative design blends modern architecture with ancient motifs, creating a spectacular setting to appreciate Egypt’s cultural heritage and legacy.

Grand Egyptian Museum

Guided by your private English-speaking Egyptologist, you’ll explore thematic exhibits that trace Egypt’s political, cultural, and religious evolution across millennia. The highlight of the visit is the Tutankhamun collection, featuring the golden death mask, ceremonial artifacts, and personal treasures of the boy king. A Wonderful Day Of Exploring Old Egypt With An Excellent Guide

This tour was everything we hoped it would be. Our private guide Mina customized our day so that we got to see all of the major sites in the ancient area of Saqquara without rushing us and giving us ample time for photos and even an excellent lunch. We started our day at the ancient Saqquara archeological site where Mina gave us a briefing on the history of the site as it pertains to the overall Pharoanic history of Egypt. He then led us on a private tour of the Step Pyramid, including its underground rock-cut tomb, plus several other tombs in the area that were even more spectacular than the pyramid itself. Following that we headed for the site I most wanted to see--the Serepeum where the Old Dynasty Egyptians entombed their sacred bulls. It is truly amazing to see the 100 ton sarcophoguses in this huge underground mausoleum, and it is seldom on most commercially available tours. After that, it was on to Memphis where Mina gave us an overview of the world's largest statue of Ramses II, plus many other ancient wonders of this city. After this tour, at our request, Mina arranged a lavish Egyptian lunch (at a very reasonable charge) at a beautiful restaurant en route. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. We are both older gentlemen with some mobility issues, and Mina was very careful in making sure we understood the limitations of the tight spaces the tombs challenged us with. (This is a limitation of the tour as some passageways are only about four feet tall and require much bending over and care to avoid the rock ceiling. I would definitely request Mina and his driver for this tour. Mina is a trained Egyptologist, and he offered many insights that a lesser guide could not have known.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We’re very pleased to hear that your day exploring Saqqara, the Serapeum, and Memphis exceeded expectations and that Mina was able to tailor the experience to your pace and interests. He takes great pride in combining deep Egyptological knowledge with a careful, attentive guiding style—especially for guests who appreciate both historical depth and a comfortable, unhurried visit. It’s also great to know the lunch arrangement worked well and helped round off the day nicely. We always aim to balance the major highlights with meaningful, less-crowded sites and flexible stops so guests can enjoy the experience fully without feeling rushed. We truly appreciate your recommendation of Mina and your trust in us for your visit to Egypt. We hope to welcome you again for another discovery in the future. Waleed. Forever Egypt tours.

Family Trip to Egypt 2026

Our experience in Egypt with a private tour guide and driver was exceptional! Everything was organized, well planned and easy from start to finish. We traveled with our kids ages 9yrs and 11yrs and they also had a great time and were fully engaged with the tours and historical information. Our itinerary was over 2 and a half days in Cairo and included the Pyramids/Sphinx, Khan El Khalili, the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Civilization Museum, and also other quick stops to the spice market, perfume shop and papyrus making exhibit which were all fascinating. We never felt rushed, pressured or forced into buying anything, so it was always light and fun. Also, our guide took the best family photos for us, as they new all the best spots/angles to get the perfect shots! Also, when we needed to change the itinerary a bit, based on our kids energy level, etc, it was easily accommodated which was nice. We went on to have a 2 day stop in Luxor, and again, our guide/driver, made us feel well taken care of, even going their way for special requests (our kids wanted to try pure sugar cane and our guide took his time find it for us). Overall, a very lovely and memorable family trip to Egypt! Five Stars!
