The Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo contains 100,000 antiques from allover the Islamic world.

We go to the historic path of monuments with a unique archaeological style. These monuments are mosques , palaces , schools, and shrines ( domes) .

the meeting point is near the museum. After visiting the museum, we can walk to bab zweila and the other spots, which are close to each other, or take a toktok because of the narrow streets.

The Islamic art museum contains antiques and monuments from different eras, most of them from the medieval ages, with different origins. The majority are from medieval Cairo, and the others from Turkey, Iran, Syria, and the Arabian Peninsula. (For foreigners, it's mandatory to pay for tickets with a bank card like Visa or Mastercard)

there is a lot of stairs . you need cash for the ticket about 100 EGP or more

6 centuries mamluke style mosque . The Mosque of Sultan al-Mu'ayyad was the last great hypostyle mosque built in Cairo, it contains decoration with polychromatic marble .
