The Islamic art museum contains antiques and monuments from different eras, most of them from the medieval ages, with different origins. The majority are from medieval Cairo, and the others from Turkey, Iran, Syria, and the Arabian Peninsula. (For foreigners, it's mandatory to pay for tickets with a bank card like Visa or Mastercard)

6 centuries mamluke style mosque . The Mosque of Sultan al-Mu'ayyad was the last great hypostyle mosque built in Cairo, it contains decoration with polychromatic marble .
