Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx

Our first stop is the legendary Giza Pyramid Complex, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the last one still standing. You'll begin with the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the three pyramids, built over 4,500 years ago as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu. Standing at its base, you'll truly appreciate the incredible scale and precision of ancient Egyptian engineering — built without modern machinery, yet aligned almost perfectly with the cardinal points.

Next, we'll visit the Pyramid of Khafre, which still retains some of its original limestone casing near the top, and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaure. I'll share the fascinating history behind their construction and the myths that still surround these monuments today.

We'll then head to the iconic Great Sphinx of Giza, the mysterious limestone statue with a lion's body and a pharaoh's head, believed to guard the pyramid complex.

For unforgettable views, we'll stop at the famous Panorama Point, where all nine pyramids of Giza can be seen together — the 3 large pyramids built for the kings, and 6 smaller ones built for the queens. Camel riding is available here as an optional activity, offering a magical way to enjoy this breathtaking panoramic scene.

Throughout this stop, I'll bring the history to life with stories about the pharaohs and daily life in ancient Egypt, going beyond the facts found in any guidebook.

01:00 PM

The Grand Egyptian Museum

Our second stop is the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization. Home to over 100,000 artifacts, this state-of-the-art museum showcases 5,000 years of ancient Egyptian history in a way never seen before.

The undisputed highlight is the complete Tutankhamun Collection — over 5,000 objects from the boy king's tomb, including his iconic golden mask, chariots, thrones, and jewelry, displayed together for the first time since their discovery in 1922. I'll walk you through the fascinating story of Tutankhamun's short reign and the incredible discovery of his intact tomb by Howard Carter.

We'll also visit the Khufu Solar Boat, a full-size 4,600-year-old wooden ship discovered buried beside the Great Pyramid, believed to have carried the pharaoh's soul into the afterlife — a true masterpiece of ancient engineering and one of the best-preserved wooden artifacts in the world.

We'll explore the Grand Staircase, lined with statues and artifacts arranged chronologically, taking you on a visual journey through Egypt's history from the Old Kingdom to the Greco-Roman period.

Throughout the visit, I'll connect each artifact to the bigger picture of the civilization we explored earlier at the Pyramids, giving you a complete understanding of ancient Egypt that few visitors ever experience in a single day.

12:00 PM

Stop for lunch (optional)

Optional lunch stop available upon request. If you'd like to enjoy a traditional Egyptian meal during the tour, just let me know in advance and I'll arrange a stop at a local restaurant that suits your taste and budget. Lunch cost is not included in the tour price.
