Enjoy a smooth and comfortable drive to Szentendre, located approximately 40 minutes from Budapest. Travel in a quality, air-conditioned vehicle, allowing you to relax and take in the changing scenery as you leave the city behind and approach this charming artists’ town along the Danube.

Szentendre Artists Village

After arrival in Szentendre, we explore the historic old town, walking along its narrow cobblestone streets and lively squares. We visit the famous Ráb Ráby House and stroll through Fő tér and Dumtsa Jenő Street, the heart of local life. From Temple Hill, we enjoy panoramic views while learning about the history of the Serbian Orthodox community and its churches. Along the Danube riverbank, we discover Szentendre’s artistic heritage, including the legacy of Kovács Margit, Barcsay Jenő, and more the town’s historic artists’ colony.

Optional snack break by the artisan shops and boutiques

There is time for relaxed window shopping and discovering small artisan boutiques. Guests may sample special Hungarian delicacies, such as freshly baked chimney cake, traditional lángos, and artisan marzipan, offering a tasteful introduction to local flavors while enjoying the town’s lively yet intimate atmosphere.

Driving to Etyek for wine tasing

After leaving Szentendre, we continue our journey toward the Etyek Wine Region, located approximately 50 -55 minutes from Szentendre. Travel comfortably in a high-quality, air-conditioned vehicle as the landscape opens into gentle hills and vineyards. Upon arrival, we visit a local winery and enjoy a guided wine tasting, focusing on Etyek’s elegant white and sparkling wines, while experiencing the warm hospitality and relaxed atmosphere of this renowned wine region.

First Wine Tasting

Our first wine tasting takes place at a well-known, family-run winery, recognized within Hungary for its quality and tradition. The winery combines modern expertise with generations of winemaking heritage, reflecting the unique character of the Etyek wine region. During the guided tasting, guests gain insight into local grape varieties and production methods while enjoying a warm, personal atmosphere shaped by genuine family hospitality.

Second Wine Tasting

The second wine tasting takes place at a small, artisan winery run by a local family, specializing in organic wine production. Here, the focus is on craftsmanship, sustainability, and minimal intervention, allowing the true character of the grapes and the land to shine through. The tasting offers a relaxed, personal experience and a deeper insight into the passion and philosophy behind small-scale Hungarian winemaking.

Return back to Budapest

After completing Szentendre and the wine tasting program in Etyek, we begin our relaxed return journey to Budapest in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Drop-off is available at the previously agreed location, which may include your hotel, apartment, river cruise boat pier, airport, or railway station. The exact drop-off details will be confirmed in advance to ensure a smooth and timely end to the day.
