We met near Ostuni in order to discover the history of olive oil production since roman time untill nowadays by confortable bikes.
We cycle through an hostorical landscape with monunent thousand years old, historical masseria farm house where people produced the lamp olive oil, and how we produce nowadays so good extra virgin olive oil form the same plants. We will taste different extra virgin olive oil in order in a modern cooperative plant to understand how combine them with our meal.

Dolmen di Montalbano
We visit the most ancient monument of the area, build up in the bronze age around 4000 years ago. We will discover the funcion, the use and how is changed the landscape around it along the centuries.
Masseria Fortificata
We understand the architecture of this ancient building, how is changed since 1400 when it was build, untill now. I will explain how people produced the olive oil and the difference with modern way to produce it. We will have a look at monumental hundred years old olive trees
Frantoio moderno
We will visit a local cooperative olive oil producer where we can taste untill 6 different extra virgin olive oil, learning to reconize the organoleptic qualities, the difect of the olive oil, how to enjoy with different meal. Possibility to purchaise and shipping
