Greve in Chianti

Chianti region is one of the most beloved for its rolling hills, untamed nature, ancient castles and honey-coloured stone villages not to mention the great wines! One of these towns is Greve with its triangular shaped Piazza Matteotti, the Wine Museum, and in September ( second week) the Expo Chianti Classico wine festival.

Panzano in Chianti

Famous for the 12 century Malvasia Castle, it also features the Oratorio Sant'Eufrosino and the Pieve of San Leolino. The entire village is very pretty and relaxing.

Castellina in Chianti

Included in the province of Siena, Castellina in Chianti's most prominent feature is definitely Via delle Volte, an astonishing tunnel-like road that offers breathtaking views over the manicured countryside. Other interesting sight in this town are the Museo Archeologico del Chianti Senese (housed in the imposing medieval rocca) and a couple of late Renaissance palazzi: Palazzo Ugolini-Squarcialupi and Palazzo Bianciardi.
