10:00 AM

Meeting Point

Mangwon Station (Line 6), Exit 2

- Please meet me outside Exit 2 of Mangwon Station (Seoul Subway Line 6). From here, we’ll walk through the neighborhood toward Mangwon Market and begin our half-day journey through local Seoul.

Mangwon Market & Lunch Break

Explore Mangwon Market and discover how locals shop and eat in this lively neighborhood market.

I’ll introduce you to Korean ingredients, snacks, and dishes, and point out a few places I personally like. We’ll also have time for a relaxed lunch here. Food is not included, so you’re free to choose what you’d like to try and pay directly at the vendor or restaurant.

Mangwon Neighborhood & Hangang Park

After lunch, we’ll leave the market and walk through the relaxed streets of Mangwon-dong toward the Han River. Along the way, you’ll see small cafés, local shops, and everyday neighborhood life before reaching Mangwon Hangang Park.

We’ll take a short riverside walk and enjoy a different side of Seoul before boarding the Hangang Bus.

12:40 PM

Hangang Bus – Mangwon to Yeouido

Board the Hangang Bus at Mangwon and enjoy a different view of Seoul from the river. As we cruise toward Yeouido, we’ll pass through the heart of the city while I share stories about the Han River and how it became such an important part of everyday life in Seoul.

After arriving at Yeouido, we’ll continue directly to Hongdae by public transportation.

Hongdae & Yeonnam-dong

Explore the lively streets and hidden alleys of Hongdae and Yeonnam-dong, where Seoul’s youth culture, cafés, fashion, music, and local hangout spots come together.

Rather than just seeing the main street, we’ll walk through smaller side streets and neighborhood areas to get a better feel for how young Seoulites actually spend their time.

Yeonnam-dong & Gyeongui Line Forest Park

Slow down in Yeonnam-dong, one of Seoul’s favorite neighborhoods for cafés, small shops, and relaxed local hangouts.

We’ll walk along the Gyeongui Line Forest Park and explore some of the quieter streets away from the busiest parts of Hongdae. It’s a nice way to finish the tour and see another side of Seoul’s modern neighborhood culture.

* This is a 6-hour walking and public transportation tour, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

* Lunch time is included at Mangwon Market, but food and drinks are not included in the tour price. You are free to choose what you would like to eat and pay directly at the vendor or restaurant.

* Hangang Bus and other public transportation fares are not included and should be paid directly by each guest.

* Hangang Bus schedules and operations may change or be suspended due to weather, river conditions, maintenance, or other operational circumstances. If the Hangang Bus is unavailable, I will adjust the route and continue the tour using public transportation.

* Individual shops and food stalls at Mangwon Market have their own opening days and hours, so some vendors may be closed on the day of the tour.

* The itinerary and timing may be slightly adjusted depending on the Hangang Bus schedule, weather, crowds, and walking pace.

* Please let me know in advance if you have any mobility concerns, food allergies, or dietary restrictions.

* This tour is generally available with starting times between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

* The exact starting time may be adjusted slightly depending on the Hangang Bus schedule on the tour date.

* If the Hangang Bus is not operating due to weather, river conditions, maintenance, or other operational reasons, I will adjust the itinerary and continue the tour using public transportation.

* The itinerary can be customized based on your interests, walking pace, and preferred areas. Please feel free to let me know in advance if there is anything specific you would like to see or experience. '

* During cherry blossom season, a short seasonal stop in Yeouido may be possible depending on timing and conditions.

Hi! I'm Rossi, a licensed English-speaking tour guide in Korea.

For me, guiding is not simply about showing you famous places. I want you to understand the stories behind what you see — why a palace was built this way, how history shaped modern Korea, why certain foods became part of everyday life, and how Koreans actually live today.

History is one of my biggest interests, especially Korea's royal history and the stories behind its palaces and traditional neighborhoods. But my tours are not history lectures. I also love exploring local markets, trying good food, discovering interesting cafés, wandering through hidden streets, and experiencing the small details of everyday Korean life that you might otherwise pass by.

I'm also a big café lover! Korea has an amazing café culture, and I enjoy discovering everything from small neighborhood cafés to unique and beautifully designed spaces. If you love coffee and cafés too, we'll definitely have something to talk about.

I started guiding international travelers in 2019, and over the years I've learned that no two guests are the same. Some want to dive deep into history, some want great food, cafés, photography or local experiences, and others simply want to enjoy Korea at a comfortable pace. That's why I prefer to adapt the day around the people I'm traveling with rather than follow the same script every time.

I offer both walking and driving experiences, from exploring Seoul's palaces and neighborhoods to discovering places beyond the city, including the DMZ and other destinations around Korea.
