With your 30 minutes walk to the hill, very nice panoramic view are seen; the channel between Honshu island and Kyushu island, together with nice town view we started climbing. It is really breathtaking. The altitude of the point is around 360m, and a wind is always blowing, which you will feel comfortable after the trek.
This view point is very popular for local people, but not for tourists at all. Please be the first tourists to witness the scenery with me! 
The path still continues to the top of Mt. Tonoue, where it preserves another panoramic view. On your way to the mountain top, you will also can look back how the vantage hill is like, and will see the range of mountains to the south of Kyushu island. It takes about another 30 minutes one way. We can continue to the top, or stay at the grass field hill. There are several wooden tables and chairs at the hill and the top of the mountain. So we can enjoy our picnic teatime, beer, coockies, etc, if you want.
