I had worked for the Japan's biggest travel agency JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) for 35 years as a tour escort for Japanese. I visited 68 countries and of course all over Japan as well. So I’m familiar with almost all of the tourist attractions in Japan. More over I’m also a professional magician now. I’m a member magician of The Magic Castle in Hollywood in US. That's why I made a decision to become an English tour guide. I acquired a tour guide license issued by the Japanese government with a lot of hard work in 2016 and I started from the following year. I work as an English guide approximately 130 days a year. My wife is physically disabled, and I usually care for her. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I receive home care and bathing services, so I am unable to go out during the day as I have to prepare for and clean up afterwards. I am available to guide on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I can take up to four people sightseeing in my private car. I was borne and raised in Fukuoka. I'm retired last year, and now slowly enjoying life. Before retireing, I work for IT related services for over 4 decades. My job roles were programmer, System Engineer, IT department Manager and IT project manager, additionally Internal Auditor. But, I feel it's a long time ago. I'm not a sporty person. I prefer reading books(Manga & novels) and listening music. Especially, I like Taiyou Matsumoto's commic & Tatsurou Yamashita's pop music. I also like outdoor activities like camping, jogging and chairing. Especially, enjoyning chairing. (Taking a folding chair and walk to the beach, which is 15 minutes away, and just relax.) But I assure you Hakata is the best place in Japan to visit and live, since you can visit Kyushu everywhere with stay in Fukuoka as hub and visit Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Oita , or Kagoshima , all of them are wonderful attractive places. Kyushu is actually the origin of Japan in Japanese mythology, which generated the Japanese Shintoism in Takachiho Gorge. There are so many attractive places to see and so many fabulous foods to eat , fresh fish, beef, Motsunabe, Udon, and so many foods were generated from this region. I can introduce and explain a lots of stuff about here to you . To talk about my career, I started to work at company Panasonic and after that , I walked on the career for Automotive component as sales working for American companies. I had education at Meiji University majoring Business Administration and was exchanged to University of Alberta in Canada. Though I walked in the field different from tourism, I was always aspired to talk about and promote Japan to foreign countries and people and wanted to be civil Ambassador for long time and became guide 2 years ago. “Great Day in Hakata and Fukuoka”
Kazue provided us with a great tour of Hakata and Fukuoka. She is from Fukuoka and is personable and very knowledgeable about her city. She took the time to take us to stores to look for omiyage that we were trying to find. The tour included interesting temples and shrines of the area and Kazue provided historical information that we would not otherwise know. I would recommend her highly.

I was glad when Christina asked about the meaning of my name and the stories behind the names of my two sons and my grandson. As I shared these stories while guiding you, I found myself thinking anew about my own bond with my family. The omikuji Christina drew at Sakurai Shrine was kichi—a good fortune. It is said to foretell lasting happiness of the most steady and secure kind. I thought the Fūfu Kizuna Mamori you bought, a charm for a couple’s bond, was a fitting keepsake of the deep connection you have built together. As Christina prayed in front of the main shrine, Dave watched from behind. I wondered if he might choose not to pray, but after Christina had finished, he too paid his respects with such care. Seeing the two of you there, with your gentle presence, made me very happy. It was one of those moments that made me feel deeply grateful to be a guide. My car is compact (Honda Jazz), and I felt a little sorry that Dave, being so tall, might not have had much room. I drove carefully, hoping to make the journey as comfortable as possible for you. I’m simply grateful for the time I spent with you both, whose presence was so calm and dignified.
