Kazue I.
Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city. I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career. This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide. Since I spent half my life outside of Japan, I noticed our culture and traditions are very unique and became more interested in historical sites in Japan. For my personal life, I am a mom of twins. It is still a hard work but I am enjoying a lot with them. We take them around Kyushu whenever possible for their fun and experience. We all love traveling after all. I am looking forward to showing you around our hometown soon!

I had worked for the Japan's biggest travel agency JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) for 35 years as a tour escort for Japanese. I visited 68 countries and of course all over Japan as well. So I’m familiar with almost all of the tourist attractions in Japan. More over I’m also a professional magician now. I’m a member magician of The Magic Castle in Hollywood in US. That's why I made a decision to become an English tour guide. I acquired a tour guide license issued by the Japanese government with a lot of hard work in 2016 and I started from the following year. I work as an English guide approximately 130 days a year. My wife is physically disabled, and I usually care for her. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I receive home care and bathing services, so I am unable to go out during the day as I have to prepare for and clean up afterwards. I am available to guide on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I can take up to four people sightseeing in my private car. I am available at any time during evening tours, such as YATAI tours. I look forward to hearing from you. Please ask me first. If it is possible.

Hi, I’m glad you found my page! I’m a local guide based in Kyushu who loves sharing the region’s history, food, and landscapes in a relaxed and friendly way. Think of me as someone who can make your trip comfortable and memorable, while keeping things easygoing and fun. I began guiding to share the history, scenery, and food of my home with visitors from around the world. Before this, I worked in luxury retail, where I learned how important details and genuine hospitality are. Now I bring that same spirit to my tours, making sure every guest feels comfortable, cared for, and free to enjoy their journey. I specialize in private car tours around Kyushu, so you don’t have to worry about train schedules or carrying luggage. We can stop where you like, take things at your own pace, and enjoy the scenery along the way. Onboard you’ll have free Wi-Fi, music, and a comfortable ride—perfect for families, couples, or friends who want both convenience and a touch of luxury. Some of my favorite places to share are: Nagasaki: Peace Park, Atomic Bomb Museum, and the city’s cultural blend Fukuoka: Dazaifu Shrine, city highlights, and Yanagawa’s river cruise with eel dishes Kumamoto: Mt. Aso’s volcanic views, Kumamoto Castle, and Kurokawa Onsen Oita: Hita’s riverside town, plus Beppu and Yufuin hot springs Saga: Arita’s ceramics and the Yoshinogari ancient site Takachiho Gorge: A mystical canyon tied to Japanese legends What I enjoy most is helping guests discover both famous sights and hidden corners of Kyushu, while keeping the experience comfortable and stress-free. Whether you’re drawn to culture, food, history, or beautiful scenery, I can adjust the plan to match your style. I’d love to share my part of Japan with you and create memories that last long after your trip. If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to send me a message. I look forward to welcoming you to Kyushu and showing you what makes this region so special!

Rie M.
I am Rie. I have been a guide for 3 years, a wine bar owner, and a horn player etc. I had lived in US, Guam and Switzerland and have been living in Shimonoseki since 2017. I love traveling, drinking and eating local foods, photographying, and meeting people and more! I started taking a lesson of Japanese Traditional dance because I am into Kabuki Theatre and Kimono. City Shimonoseki is very unique and still a hidden place in Japan from my perspective. Pedestrian tunnel under Kanmon strait was picked on the TV program "Great Railway Journey" by BBC in 2026, and I was a part of the program for 30 sec :) It is my pleasure to show you around and make your visit personal and memorable!! I am very flexible. Look forward to having you in the area!

“Exceptional, Professional and Friendly. Will Book Again”
As a German, I was a little worried about communication because I have a noticeable accent and English is not my native language. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Chiyako understood me perfectly from the very beginning. Her English is excellent, clear, and easy to understand, which made communication effortless throughout the entire tour. Chiyako was extremely friendly, professional, and very well organized. We booked a custom tour through another agency, and she acted as our translator. Before the tour, she coordinated with the other agency involved, which made everything much easier for us and saved us a lot of time and effort. What impressed me most was how thoroughly prepared she was. She had already studied the routes between all the locations on our tour, so we could simply follow her instead of constantly checking Google Maps. This made the experience much more enjoyable and relaxed. I especially appreciated this because it was far beyond what I expected from a translator service. During the walks between destinations, Chiyako was always happy to answer our questions about Japanese culture and everyday life. She was not only knowledgeable l but also very approachable and genuinely pleasant to spend time with. We participated in several workshops with local artisans, and Chiyako translated everything flawlessly. She conveyed the artisans explanations clearly and completely, and we never felt that any information was lost or that she lacked the necessary vocabulary. Her involvement significantly enhanced our experience and enriched every tour. I would highly recommend Chiyako to anyone looking for a Guide or Translator. When I return to Fukuoka, I will definitely book with her again. Thank you, Chiyako, for your dedication, professionalism, and kindness. You made our experience in Japan even more memorable.

Thank you very much for your warm message. It was my great pleasure to accompany you on your trip as your interpreter. Your great enthusiasm and curiosity about the traditional Japanese cultures allowed me to explore the new experience and deepen my knowledge as a guide. Artisans in each workshop were also amazed that you were attentive to details and quick learners. I truly enjoyed conversation with you on the way. Thanks to the fun conversation, the tens of minutes of travel time flew by. I hope I could meet you again in the future!

“ An Unforgettable Yame Tea Experience”
Kazue-san was a wonderful guide during this one-day trip to Yame. We visited several matcha and green tea shops, and I was even able to purchase the famous Hoshino matcha, which is known for being very difficult to find. In addition, Kazue-san took the time to ask the shop owners about the background of their matcha, the history of their businesses, and other interesting details, then translated everything for me. I learned so much throughout the tour. I highly recommend Kazue-san to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated guide.

Dear, Ms. Li leen Thank you so much for your kind review and it made me really happy!! I had a wonderful time exploring Yame with you. It was really great that we were able to find some Hoshino matcha for you as it is not always easy to come by. It was also a pleasure learning more about the tea shops together and chatting with the owners. Yame has such a rich tea culture, and I’m glad I could help share some of the stories and history behind it. Thank you again for choosing me as your guide. I hope you enjoy your matcha back home, and I wish you many more memorable adventures in Japan in the future! Warmest, Kazue
