Olá! Hi! I’m Izzy! Thanks for coming to my page and hopefully soon, Porto!
Originally from Lisbon, I moved to Porto in 98 to get my college degree in Biology. So quickly I fell in love with this city, its people, its food and wine - Porto is the homeland of the famous Port Wine and Francesinha, one of the best sandwiches in the world - its rich diverse history and world-renowned cultural treasures that I have been living here since then.
After University, I lived in Paris for one year, where I got a graduate degree in Image, Communication and Protocol - communicating with people is my passion – and I have been working in Tourism and Hospitality for the past years.
Traveling is all about exploring and understanding the place you visit, its people, history, culture and heritage diversity, as well as experience their traditions and gastronomy. Only this way you’ll be able to make unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. As your guide, I´ll show you the city of Porto beyond the standard and conventional tourist-made itineraries, with all the well-known highlights, on tailor-made experiences, often along unexpected routes.
Whether it’s a Walking Tour through Medieval Porto, a Culinary Tasting at Porto’s most iconic restaurants, or a Guided Tour in the North of Portugal, for small groups, couples, families, students, business professionals or solo travellers, anything is possible. Just choose from one or more of my predesignated tour options or contact me and I will create the best itinerary based on your interests and needs!
See you soon!

Joao M.
My name is João, a native son of Porto.
I've been a certified Tourism Animator for the last 5 years, a Gentleman Rider for a few decades now and most importantly, in love with my city, her stories and importance in the World history.
After a successfull, but not very fullfilling, career in management and mechatronics engineering, I decided to create experiences that would allow me to work on and share my passions: my classic motorcycles, the love of my city, history and storytelling ( yes, I talk a bit!)
That combination came together naturally to create my tour experiences that use the old neighborhoods, landmarks, viewpoints and facades to tell you the history and stories of Porto. ( It also allows me to start tours with guests and end with friends. )
My tours focus on: Porto history, local stories, local perspective, landmarks, vistas & viewpoints, photography, Port wine tasting.
After being a tourism guide for 5 years I realize that meeting new people and seeing them fall in love with Porto is what I really love to do. I hope to meet in Porto soon!
Disclaimer: I'm also a part of secret world conspiracy to make people fall in love with Porto. . . you've been warned :)
I will be your private guide. Welcome to Porto!

In the United Kingdom, I graduated in Information Systems and returned to Porto to get a Master's degree in Management.
During my degree in the United Kingdom, I made friends with students from various corners of the world: Italians, Germans, French, Senegalese, Thais, Malawians, Turks, Poles, Czechs, etc., also living in students accommodations in the university campus, where the kitchens were shared, one of the things that gave me greater pleasure, was to share our different gastronomies, besides, each one love to mention what can best be discovered in each country and in their native cities, without forgetting soccer preferences!
At the same time, I got a part-time job on the weekends at the Holiday Inn Hotel, to help with my expenses. There where I worked nights in the bar and restaurant. Here, once again, I shared and heard stories from the four corners of the world from my colleagues and guests.
Then, on my return to Portugal and after taken a Master degree in Business Management at FEP (Faculty of Economics of Porto), I started working 9 hours a day in an accounting office making business and financial plans. Tired and seeing that this would not be a future for me, I decided to create my own business in the tourism sector and in an area that has always attracted me, the travel sector.
That's how I decided to open a travel agency initially specializing in incoming tourism, more specifically on sightseeing tours and later in outgoing tourism.
As I felt I needed more knowledge in the area, I enrolled in the course of certified tourism driver of the Escola de Turismo do Porto. This was an intensive 350-hour course of study in local guiding and domestic and international tours directing.
I received my SNATTI (National Union for Tourist Guides) membership certificate on May December 20,2020, and it has been a blessing ever since. I have a Portuguese Class B Driver’s License and I also have a First Aid Certificate.

Welcome to Northern Portugal!
My name is Ralfe. I was born in Amarante in 1991. My entire childhood was spent in this small but beautiful town, where I lived with my parents.
My maternal grandparents were from the Douro Valley, so I have a great connection with this beautiful region, of which I am very proud.
The Douro valley is the most famous wine region in Portugal. With vineyards on both banks of the Douro river, here the so appetizing and tasty Port wine is produced.
From an early age, I began to explore my country and discover places of incredible beauty.
In 2019 I started working as a tour guide, falling in love with sharing all the knowledge I've acquired so far.
My goal is to create friendly relationships with everyone I visit and have the pleasure of meeting. These relationships are based on transparency, simplicity and trust. I prioritize sharing experiences so that all the experiences I organize are more enriching.
I feel like a host in my own country, and I am available to personalize my tours according to your preferences.

Being an off-road driver for over 30 years, I know Portugal and Morocco inside out, literally “off the beaten track”. Making friends along the way and getting to know their culture, led me to organize tours and trips.
Me and my team (guides) put our heart and soul into each experience.
As a result, taking travellers beyond the destination, away from the usual touristic hustle. With this, we have been leading Private Tours in Portugal and Morocco for over 10 years.
Ricardo M.
My name is Ricardo and I was born and raised in Porto City.
Although tourism changed Porto for the best (in my opinion) for the last 5 years, me and my family had to move out from Porto, into the bush, housing and living costs became very high and we made the choice that we should move out to the countryside.
In this last year 2020 and even this year 2021 with pandemic work just fell down drastically and we had to adapt. Making Port Wine, Muscat wine and sometimes olive oil in a amatuer way since 2014, this hobbie become my family income. With vineyards and olives fields almost abandoned from the pandemic I rolled up my sleeves and went to work, asking neighbours and friends if I could keep their grapes and olives for harvest time, their answers were immediately YES
Dividing my life between Porto and Douro Valley, me and my family feel completely safe, happy and relaxed with this new way of living your life.
Come and see my amazing town Porto and Douro Valley Wine Region from the eyes of a local !!!
Hope to see you soon.
Cheers !!!
Ricardo
