Thank you for visiting my page. I am passionate about guiding international travelers through Osaka, Nara, and Kyoto—cities that served as Japan’s capitals in succession from the 7th to the 20th centuries. I grew up in Osaka and studied urban and transportation planning in Kyoto. After obtaining a Master of Engineering degree, I worked as a government official for 20 years, striving to balance urban development with the preservation of historical assets under the City Planning Act. Since the 7th century, powerful local clans established a national framework by building new capitals—first in Naniwa (Osaka), followed by Heijo (Nara) and Heian (Kyoto)—and implementing legal codes and administrative systems led by the emperor. These capitals housed the Imperial Palace and government districts. Court nobles built their residences and clans’ temples or shrines adjacent to the imperial palace. After the emperor and court nobles relocated from Kyoto to Tokyo about 150 years ago, the Buddhist monks, Shinto priests, and residents of these three cities have continued to work together to maintain historic structures and preserve the traditional religious rituals associated with them. After retiring from public service, I began working as a freelance guide, sharing these historical assets with travelers from abroad. Since these three cities are all within about one hour of each other by train, I can propose tours customized to your schedule and physical stamina. I look forward to hearing from you.

I have worked as a tour conductor in France, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and Indonesia. Mexico is where I decided to stay twenty years ago. I started off with groups of 20 people with trips of 28 days from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and back to Mexico. After this I switched to trips of 21 days visiting the same countries. After having visited each archaeological site over 60 times, each time with another local guide, I decided to study Mexican History and Archaeology, inspired by some of the local guides who told the tourists that the Mayas landed from Mars in spaceships. I am specialized in Maya culture. Working with people and showing them different cultures is what fascinates me. In 2004, I started off with the big tour companies like TUI and Thomas Cook, who commercialized the trips from 28 days and reduced it to 12 days. I did that for 10 years, after which I went on as a private tour guide/driver for small groups. I offer private day tours and multi day tours to all archaeological sites and nature parks transportation included in English, French, German, Dutch, and Spanish.

Camping and hiking are a good part of my best childhood memories. As a teenager I joined a youth hiking club which was based in the Judean Desert. I knew already back then, that this is what I wanted to do with my life – hike in nature and visit interesting sites and places. After graduating high school I did my mandatory service in the Israel Defense Forces. I was a gardener, and fiercely fought against all weeds in the army bases I served in… When released from service, I went to study "Land of Israel Studies" at the Beit-Berl Teachers College. I received a B.Ed in geography and my official Tour Guide certification from the Ministry of Tourism in 1995. I have been a tour guide ever since. I love my job, and I love my country. I named both my sons after mountains in Israel – Tavor (20), and Bental (17).

I am registered as a Okinawa prefectural interpreter tour guide, but don't have a whole Japan area certification. So I am brushing my skill up to get it. I speak English, and do basic Chinese conversation , not like a native though.
