Hi, I am Shinya, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. I was born in Tokyo and brought up there. I have lived in Tokyo for more than 40 years. Since I am a Tokyoite, I am able to give you precious information about places which are not written on ordinary guide books. I would like to support you to make your trip in Japan much more fun and wonderful! I want to make you smile, surprise and happy throurgh the tour!
One of my favorite things to do is to see architecuture designed by famous architecs, such as Kuma Kengo, and Ando Tadao. I also like to see art works, such as paintings, Ukiyoe woodblock prints, and tea bowls, and something like that.
Lastly, I love tennis very much. I have been playing tennis for more than 40 years! I also love to watch tennis game! I have visited Melbourne in Australia to see the Australinan Open Tennis in 2020 just before Corona Pandemic. I visited New York to see the U.S. Open Tennis last summer in 2023.

Akihabara Walking Tour
Akihabara is famous for its Japan's largest electric appliance shopping district. On the other hand, this district is also the center of subculture. Matsumoto Castle; One-DayTour from Tokyo
Matsumoto Castle is listed as a National Treasure of Japan, and is one of the twelve remaining original Tenshu (the keep) in Japan. It was built in the sixteenth century. You are able to enter the inside of the castle and go up to the top of the floor! The castle is painted with black lacquer. The reason for using black lacquer is to protect the castle from fire.The beautiful Northern Alps can be seen from the castle tower. You will also enjoy strolling around the Matsumoto city!

“Lovely way to get introduced to Japan”
We booked 4 hr walking tour with Shinya. Met us promptly at our hotel. Walked to station and help us orient with train system . Enjoyed the visit to peaceful shrine follwed bustling shopping area. Shared us with useful which came handy, esp able to bypass long line at the cherry blossoms parks using our welcome suica card.

“Enjoyable tour with very personable guide”
We enjoyed our tour with Shinya very much - he was flexible with the starting time, so we got to enjoy the Christmas lights. Shinya gathered a lot of information on the buildings he pointed out to us and even gave us a printed information pack he built on all the stops on the tour. We also chatted about topics not architecture related.

“Great experience of must see sites on day of arrival”
I had a wonderful guided tour in Tokyo.
