About Tour Guide Shinya E.
Hi, I am Shinya, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. I was born in Tokyo and brought up there. I have lived in Tokyo for more than 40 years. Since I am a Tokyoite, I am able to give you precious information about places which are not written on ordinary guide books. I would like to support you to make your trip in Japan much more fun and wonderful! I want to make you smile, surprise and happy throurgh the tour!
One of my favorite things to do is to see architecuture designed by famous architecs, such as Kuma Kengo, and Ando Tadao. I also like to see art works, such as paintings, Ukiyoe woodblock prints, and tea bowls, and something like that.
Lastly, I love tennis very much. I have been playing tennis for more than 40 years! I also love to watch tennis game! I have visited Melbourne in Australia to see the Australinan Open Tennis in 2020 just before Corona Pandemic. I visited New York to see the U.S. Open Tennis last summer in 2023.

Akihabara Walking Tour
Akihabara is famous for its Japan's largest electric appliance shopping district. On the other hand, this district is also the center of subculture. You will be able to enjoy watching efficiently a variety of shops specialized in manga/comics, figurines, animated films, and something like that. You will also enjoy a maid cafe where the maids are dressed in cute maid costumes. You will also enjoy animals cafe such as hedgehogs and owls. These unique cafes originated in Akihabara!
One-Day Must-See Sites Tour in Tokyo
You will visit three historical sites in Tokyo; Meiji Jingu Shinto Shrine, one of the most prestigious shrines in Japan, Senso-ji Buddhist Temple, the oldest and the largest temple in Tokyo, and the Imperial Palace, where the Emperor and Empress residence. You will learn about the differences between Japan's two major religions, Shinto and Buddhism, and various other topics related to shrines and temples. You will enjoy watching a beatutiful garden (East Garden of the Imperial Palace).

You are able to add hot spring as a tour course, if you would like to soak in a hot spring, since Hakone is a hot spring resort area.

Omotesando is a rare place where famous architects from around the world have competed in architectural design. There are many buildings by Pritzker Prize winners. Omotesando has been a center of fashion. On this tour, You are able to see 19 fascinating buildings in total designed by famous architects from all over the world efficiently. If you like to see architectures, this is the perfect tour for you. You can efficiently walk around to see many nice buildings designed by famous architects.
A Half-Day Must-See Sites Tour In Tokyo
You wiil be able to visit 2 or 3 popular sightseeing places in Tokyo. Here, I recommend going 3 suggested tours for you. Plan A: Meiji Jingu Shrine/ Harajuku, Takeshita Street, Omotesando/ Shibuya Scramble Intersection & Faithful dog Hachi statue. Plan B: Tsukiji FIsh Market (Outer market)/ Ginza/ Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa, Plan C: Akihabara/ Ueno/ Kanei-ji Temple. Whichever plan you choose, you will be able to visit the popular sightseeing destinations in the most efficiently way.
Matsumoto Castle; One-DayTour from Tokyo
Matsumoto Castle is listed as a National Treasure of Japan, and is one of the twelve remaining original Tenshu (the keep) in Japan. It was built in the sixteenth century. You are able to enter the inside of the castle and go up to the top of the floor! The castle is painted with black lacquer. The reason for using black lacquer is to protect the castle from fire.The beautiful Northern Alps can be seen from the castle tower. You will also enjoy strolling around the Matsumoto city!

Shinya is an amazing man! From the beginning, he was quick to communicate and created a 2 day itinerary that fit what we were looking for. He led us through Tokyo with ease, providing great explanations of the areas we visited. What I enjoyed most about Shinya was his openness to discuss our different cultures. “Unforgettable Mt. Fuji Tour with Shinya: The Perfect Guide for a Fun and Delicious Experience!”
We had the pleasure of having Shinya as our guide for the Mt. Fuji, Hakone, and Lake Ashi one-day tour from Tokyo, and he truly made the experience unforgettable! Shinya’s knowledge and enthusiasm added so much fun to the trip, and he effortlessly guided us to all the must-see spots. One of the highlights was when Shinya asked if we liked cheesecake. When we said yes, he took us to a fantastic spot by Lake Ashi with the most delicious cheesecake and the best soft serve we've ever had. It was a delightful surprise and just one example of how Shinya goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great time. Even outside the tour, Shinya was incredibly helpful. When we asked him about local food, he recommended a spot in Tokyo Station. We ended up buying a lot of delicious food there, thanks to his great suggestion!
