We had such a fun time with Akira during our 3 days (Kyoto, Nara & Osaka) and would most definitely recommend him. Akira explained the differences about shrines and temples and their rituals in a way that was easy to understand and made our visit feel much more meaningful. He also shared such a lot of interesting information about Japanese culture and everyday behaviour. He thoroughly explained the fascinating history of Osaka Castle without overcomplicating it for us. We really appreciated being driven around Kyoto and Osaka in the comfort of his car. He was very kind and thoughtful in adapting to our needs. Akira took such great care of us, even offering invaluable help with our ongoing travels around Japan. His food recommendations were fab as I’m a ‘picky eater’. One of the best tour guides we have ever experienced worldwide! He made us feel very special. Thank you so much Akira! We highly recommend you!

Kyoto and Nara offered you so much history and inspiration, and the final day in Osaka was especially memorable. “Simply Osaka”

We had a great time with Akira and would definitely recommend him. He explains things in a simple, straightforward way that’s easy to understand. When we visited a shrine, he explained what kind it was, what everything was used for, and why people do certain rituals, which made the visit much more meaningful. He also shared a lot about Japanese culture and everyday behavior, and explained the history of Osaka Castle clearly without overcomplicating it. We learned a lot and had a great time. It’s really nice to know what you’re actually seeing instead of just thinking, “oh, that’s a funky building.” Highly recommended.

“Great 2 days in Kyoto and Osaka”

Fuji was the most amazing tour guide!!! We spent 2 busy days in Kyoto and Osaka and learned and saw so much of the Japanese history and culture!! He was energetic, very knowledgeable and funny!! His perfect food recommendations had even our pickiest eaters trying the local fare and that is amazing in itself!!! I would definitely recommend Fuji as a tour guide for anyone and everyone heading to Japan to sightsee and soak up all Japanese!!!
