“An Interesting and Informative Guided Tour”

We had a very interesting and informative guided tour. Our guide showed us both Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, explaining their traditions and differences in detail. We also visited a local market, explored the historic old town, and walked through the beautiful geisha districts. We particularly enjoyed his detailed explanations about the lives, training, and traditions of geishas. What we especially appreciated was that our guide kept his promise and did not strictly watch the clock. He took his time, answered our questions thoroughly, and made sure we could enjoy the tour without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a very informative and enjoyable experience. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in Japanese culture and history!

“Kyoto with context”

My daughter and I spent a day with Robert in Kyoto. It was her first trip to Japan and my second, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the whole journey. Robert showed us places we would never have visited on our own, and without his explanations we would have missed much of what we saw. He brought Kyoto to life, and we saw the city with different eyes for the rest of our stay. What sets Robert apart is the depth of his knowledge combined with a relaxed, personal style. He adapted to our level, answered every question patiently. He also generously took more time than planned. It was a wonderfully relaxed day, full of content yet completely unhurried. If you want to understand Kyoto rather than just photograph it, book Robert. Highly recommended!
