“6 hours in Kyoto”

My family and l (a group of 8 including my 90 year old Mum) booked this day trip. The amazing driver of our taxi was supposed to be just that - a driver - but he went above and beyond acting as our tour guide as well. He was very professional but also had a good sense of humour, but most importantly he was amazing with my mum and his treatment of her was nothing short of exceptional. His suggestions for our itinerary were great and we got to visit all the main sites we wanted to see. He made our day out one we will never forget. Would definitely recommend. “Excellent Guide - Highly Recommend ”

As a travel advisor, I arranged an all-day Kyoto tour with Akira for clients of mine who were staying in Osaka, and I could not have been happier with the experience. Akira picked them up directly from their hotel, making everything seamless from the start, and gave them a wonderful introduction to Kyoto’s major highlights. My guests had an excellent day and spoke very highly of him afterward, especially their 11 year old son. “Best Guide in Japan”

We spent 2-weeks in Japan and had 5 guides in various places. Akira was the best by a mile! From the moment he met us to the the end of the day, he was an EXCELLENT host. His knowledge, enthusiasm, language skills and thoughtfulness could not have been better. His car was spotless and comfortable. His tours were really well thought out. He was great fun and super polite. His explanations of the history/culture/background of every site was superb. And, when we arrived at a temple and realised we were a little short of cash, he ran back to his car to grab some, to keep our day moving along smoothly. He also introduced us to a secret location for an amazing lunch. Overall - it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. He only gets 5-stars because I cannot give him 6. Do not hesitate to book him - he is a legend!
