On this tour we will get out and enjoy the gorgeous cherry blossoms off the beaten path. There will be plenty of time to walk and enjoy being under the blossoms. We will eat a picnic lunch of your choosing (either Japanese obento or sandwiches and such). The first park has a fun play area for children, and the second one has pedal boats on a pond. You will enjoy time with your guide who is a mom and grandma and enjoys children and people of all ages. You will get to see a bamboo forest too.

We had a wonderful half-day outing with Kanae, who was both prompt and incredibly courteous. We especially appreciated how accommodating she was with our request to visit a quiet village on the outskirts of Kyoto—it was exactly the kind of authentic experience we were looking for. Akira is a fantastic tour guide. We had one day to see Kyoto, and booked very last minute. He arrived to our hotel early and the van was clean and luxurious. He put everyone at ease with his good humor. Akira entertained us with wonderful history, insightful stories and memorable places. While none of us guessed the correct number of rocks at the zen garden, we understood the meaning thanks to Akira!
