“Pleasant and timely private tour”

We were looking for someone to drive us to places outside of Kyoto it would have taken too long to get to in a day by public transportation, and Atsushi was very accommodating, timely and flexible in taking us where we wanted to go! From the bamboo forest to the Saiho-ji moss temple, then all the way up through the stunning cedar forests to Miyama and my favorite, the Little Indigo Museum, Atsushi provided a pleasant and efficient ride. Like another reviewer noted, he didn't share much about the historical or cultural significance of the sites, but while I would like more of that when I have a local guide showing me around, my partner was happy to be chauffeured in comfort and peace. He is very sweet and offered to purchase a magazine for me that we saw in the museum which was a lovely gesture. I've now learned it's always good to know and articulate expectations before hand - between traveling partners and with a private guide! Overall a very good experience.

“Passionate and engaging”

Akira toured us around Osaka for a day and Kyoto for a day. He is very passionate about sharing his knowledge of history, making it interesting, tailoring his tour based on observed group interests, engaged our teens, and gave us excellent food recommendations. He was a an exceptional guide and loves giving tours!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I truly enjoyed spending these two days in Japan with both of your families. We experienced everything we had hoped for, shared many wonderful moments, and learned so much about Japan’s culture and history together. “6 hours in Kyoto”

My family and l (a group of 8 including my 90 year old Mum) booked this day trip. The amazing driver of our taxi was supposed to be just that - a driver - but he went above and beyond acting as our tour guide as well. He was very professional but also had a good sense of humour, but most importantly he was amazing with my mum and his treatment of her was nothing short of exceptional. His suggestions for our itinerary were great and we got to visit all the main sites we wanted to see. He made our day out one we will never forget. Would definitely recommend.
