About Tour Guide Julio C.

I'm Julio, a federally certified bilingual tour guide born and raised in Oaxaca. After more than a decade in education, where I advanced from English teacher to school principal, I chose to dedicate my career to sharing the culture, landscapes, and traditions of my home state.

I create private experiences that go beyond the typical tourist itinerary. My tours connect travelers with local artisans, family-run workshops, traditional mezcal producers, and communities that continue to preserve centuries-old Zapotec traditions. I believe travel should benefit both visitors and the people who welcome them, which is why responsible tourism, fair trade, and genuine cultural exchange are at the heart of every experience.

Whether we're hiking to panoramic viewpoints, learning ancient pottery techniques, exploring colorful markets, or sharing stories over a traditional meal, my goal is to help guests experience the authentic Oaxaca that most visitors never see.
