Lovely Experience

The flower arranging was a fun and unique experience. Masako was so friendly and patient even my husband had a great time. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in learning more about Japanese culture.

Suzanna H.

Dear Suzanna, Thank you for sending me a great review about my Flower Arranging class. I'm so glad to know you enjoyed it, especially your husband did. I hope you'll practice the flower arrangement in your home as much as you can and learn more about Japanese culture. Thank you so much. Masako

I will never put my bouquet of flowers in their vase the same way ever again :)

I had a great day with Masako, learning the basic of flower arrangement Japanese style. She welcome me in her house where we ate delicious Japanese sweets from her local confectionary shop. It was a really nice touch. I will try to put her learning in practice when I go back home. Masako is warm and friendly, and I truly had an enjoyable time. Thanks so much!

Nathalie T.

Dear Nathalie, Thank you for your fabulous review about my flower arrangement program. I'm so happy to know that you had an enjoyable time then. And more I could easily remind you by a picture with your flower arrangement. I appreciate it very much. I hope you'd like arranging flowers in Japanese styles. Thanks, again, Masako

Very nice experience

My friend and I received an excellent introduction to Ikebana. Masako made us feel very wellcome in her nice house, her instructions were clear and we communicated well. All in all a very pleasant encounter with Japanese culture.

Monique V.

My dear Monique V. Thank you for giving me a good comment. I was happy that I could teach ladies from Germany how to make flowers and what Japanese culture is. I hope you'll make flower arrangement beautifully by yourself in your country and I am expecting you that you will email me about the result of flower arrangement by your own. See you around, Masako

Japan

My name is Kumiko. I used to live in New York and London and worked for US companies for many years. Based on my experience, I recognize that Japan is a fascinating country, but at the same time, it is unique in many ways. Tokyo, as the capital of Japan, is a unique and diverse mix of cutting-edge technology, traditional culture, and Western influences. As an art lover, I am happy to show you many galleries in Tokyo. I received a Certificate of Art Business Masterclass from Christie's. As a guide, I'd like to explain to my guests about Japanese culture as well as background and introduce popular places and food. I think most visitors coming to Japan are hoping both to enjoy themselves and also have a meaningful encounter with a different culture. I am looking forward to helping you explore my city and enjoy everything it has to offer.

Hi. I’m Seigo. I am a licensed guide in both English and Chinese. I can speak Spanish just a little bit. I enjoy listening to music, watching sports, driving in my car, and learning new languages in my free time. Since I have lived in Kanagawa my whole life, I can offer satisfying private customized tours to each guest group. My recommended destinations in Kanagawa are Kamakura, a seat of Japan's first Shogunate, and Hakone, a popular resort area with mountains and Lake Ashi. In addition to the standard tourist destinations, I can also drive you around some nice places in the suburbs of Tokyo that foreign tourists don't usually visit. It will be great if you have fun exploring Japan with my little help. Please feel free to contact me anytime! I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

Japan

I came to Japan in 1998, intending to stay a few months, but enjoying Japan, I never left. I was intrigued by the history, culture, language, and food. And the fascination and excitement of exploring and learning new things about Japan still exists with me today. The variety and choices of things to do and places to go can be overwhelming. I can offer you suggestions and a unique perspective on Japan. I can share local knowledge about things often missed. Fluent in Japanese with a master's degree in Japanese Studies and living in Japan for over 20 years, I can be your guide.
