Hello, I'm Masahiko. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter.I was born in Kobe. Now I live in Hirakata city located between Kyoto and Osaka.

I am very familiar to Kansai region especially Kyoto and Osaka and I can show you various nice places in this region. Kyoto had been a capital city in Japan and the emperor's residence from 794 until 1868. So there are a lot of historically important places in Kyoto. You must see them. And Osaka is the largest city after Tokyo and it’s one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan. There are a lot of attractions in Osaka such as neon lights at night, delicious local food, modern and trendy shopping streets, the amusement parks.

I studied Chemical Engineering at a University in Osaka and have worked in Japanese manufacturers. I have been to more than 30 countries as business trips. I had many wonderful experiences at various places all over the world. Over the years, I have came to love travelling and showing beautiful and wonderful Japan to foreigners.

I 'd like to share wonderful experiences in Japan with you. And I look forward to seeing you soon!

Kyoyoo highlights

Enjoyed yhe cirty aspects of the tour but felt we spent a little too much time at the site outside of the city where there was not a lot to see.

I appreciate your comment. I hope you enjoyed the autumn season in Japan. I am sorry for the time we spent in Arashiyama. The area was very crowded, so we made a detour. Arashiyama is Next time, I will try to make the tour more fruitful. Thank you for attending my tour.

excellent day in Kyoto

Masahiko planned an itinerary based on my requests with some suggestions of his own based on his knowledge and experience. He was very flexible when I wanted to veer off course. Also made an excellent selection for lunch - traditional and very good. His knowledge of the city and off the beaten track areas made the day special. We covered so much of Kyoto in one day thanks to his organization and knowledge of sites and transit system.

Thank you for joining the tour in Kyoto. I am very pleased to know that you enjoyed having lunch at the Okonomiyaki (Japanese traditional pancake) restaurant. For me, it was a joyful tour from Osaka port to Kyoto traditional tourist's destinations. I hope to see you again sometime in the near future.

Personalized, Professional and Flexible

I took my 12 year-old grandson to Japan for one week. We spent 3 days in Kyoto (I love Kyoto) with Masahiko. He personalized the tour to fit my grandson's wishes. We went to a Samurai training class, a Manga Museum, practiced writing in Japanese, fed deer in Nara, and learned how to use IC cards! It was 100 degrees everyday, and Masahiko adjusted our tours so that we would not be too stressed out by the heat. Masahiko enhanced the trip immeasurably. And his English comprehension and speaking are excellent.

Thank you for attending my tour in Kyoto and Nara. I was very happy to have unique experiences with you. I hope these experiences will become a great memory for your grandson. I look forward to the next chance to see you!

Great guide

Masahiko was very flexible in setting up my tour as I only had a few hours in Kyoto. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He also helped me get to my train on time for my flight home. I recommend him him with no reservations.
