I became a Tourist Guide in 2015 when I decided to give professional continuity to a life that had already crossed other professions.
My passion for history and travel brought me the desire to study and share knowledge about the "history of places", to go beyond what we see, to enter the soul of what we visit and to learn a little about the mentalities of those who inhabited and lived in the same places we visit today.
Private visits are the best way for me to express myself. In my 7-seater van, I welcome my guests in English, French, Italian and Portuguese.
My tours focus on an off-the-beaten-track approach to surprise my clients by discovering the natural and historical beauty of Portugal, but even places that are considered too touristy can be given a unique and meaningful reading.
All tours can be customized for you. Send me a message with your requests!

“Day Tour: Defensive Lines of Torres Vedras ”
Henrique was an excellent guide and host for our day trip. He was knowlegeable and informative and we learned so much about the general history of Portugal in addition to the specific history of the lines of Torres Vedras and the Peninsular War. Henrique tailored the tour to meet the specific interests of my husband so that we visited Wellington's headquarters, making the day even better than we had anticipated, and a special birthday treat. We thoroughly recommend Henrique and his tours if you are visiting Portugal.

Hello Carol and Bill Thank you very much for your kind and rewarding review on our tour " The Defensive Lines of Torres Vedras - Wellington vs Napoleon - the Peninsular War in Portugal". I was delighted to accompany you on this visit and I want you to know how stimulating and challenging it was for me to hear of your curiosity and interest in learning more and more about Portugal's history, particularly with regard to its links with England, which went far beyond the Peninsular War. As I think that Portugal still has much more to surprise you, particularly with regard to the Napoleonic wars and the presence of the Duke of Wellington, I hope that one of these days we can meet again. All the best to you, Caroll and Bill! Thank you very much! Henrique
