Hello, my name is Mana. I am a National Licensed Tour Guide in English. I was born and raised in Kyoto. I worked for the Kyoto Prefectural Police Headquarters after I graduated from university.
I know lots about Kyoto's cultures and festivals . I am good at walking. After I got married, I have been in Shiga for over 30 years. I work for at high school as a part time teacher. I am flexible in Kyoto and Shiga. I am practicing ”Rakugo”a traditional Japanese comedic storytelling art, to make my tours more enjoyable and filled with laughter. Let’s laugh together during my tours!

“Two Days in Kyoto”
We had the incredible privilege of spending two days in Kyoto with Mana as our guide, and it truly made our trip unforgettable. Mana is everything you could hope for in a guide—exceptionally knowledgeable, warm, thoughtful, and deeply passionate about her city. She brought Kyoto’s history, culture, and traditions to life in a way that was engaging, accessible, and deeply enriching. Beyond her professionalism, Mana is simply a joy to be around—kind, and genuinely caring. By the end of our time together, it felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend. If you're visiting Kyoto, do yourself a favor and book time with Mana. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation of the city and memories that last a lifetime. Thank you again for two wonderful days Mana!

Dear Ralph I was truly delighted that you entrusted me with the Kyoto tour for your beloved parents and that you gave such a high-rated review. I'm relieved to hear that they returned safely to your home country after their long journey. Although it unfortunately rained on the second day, they enjoyed interacting with people around them while using various forms of public transportation. Their genuine interest in history and culture, as well as their willingness to actively engage and try new things, made the tour a valuable learning experience for me as well. Two days are simply not enough to fully experience Kyoto. I sincerely hope all of you will come back to Kyoto again and again! Thank you Mana

“Covered a lot in a short time ”
If a brisk pace and local knowledge is your thing then Mana is perfect. She is very fit and we got a great workout while touring several sites. She also had visual aids and taught us how to count in Japanese.

Dear Brandon I was very happy to receive your high-rated review. Each temple and shrine has a very long history, and during the tour, I was only able to provide a brief introduction. Please come back to Kyoto as many times as you like with your daughter and she can experience more Japanese pop culture. Thank you very much Mana

Dear Alex, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We took many photos that day, but I was quite worried about whether there would be any that you would truly like in the end. If you like, please send some of your favorite photos I also learned a lot about new shooting locations. Thank you again. Mana
