Hello, my name is Mana. I am a National Licensed Tour Guide in English. I was born and raised in Kyoto. I worked for the Kyoto Prefectural Police Headquarters after I graduated from university.
I know lots about Kyoto's cultures and festivals . After I got married, I have been in Shiga for over 30 years. I work for at high school as a part time teacher. I am flexible in Kyoto and Shiga. I am practicing ”Rakugo”a traditional Japanese comedic storytelling art, to make my tours more enjoyable and filled with laughter. Let’s laugh together during my tours! The fun, hand-drawn illustrations I use on my tours are also very popular—most of my guests take photos of them.

“A truly unforgettable experience”
Mana is a one of a kind tour guide. Her previous careers in education & police work give her a unique perspective on being a tour guide. The bamboo forest was particularly memorable. If you like sandwiches & coffee, ask her to take you to the Yamamoto cafe. We learned a lot & formed memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

“Great day with Mana!”
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Mana's Fushimi & Uji tour. What was scheduled as a 4hr tour ended up 6 hours as she wanted to show us a few extra sites without any additional expectations. A very knowledgable, professional lady who was fun to spend the day with!

Dear Michal Thank you very much for sending me the highest rating review. I’m truly delighted that you enjoyed and appreciated my hometown, which is famous for green tea. I must admit I felt a little nervous in that tearoom, as it’s a place where it’s quite rare to get a reservation—and afterward, I almost made a big mistake! The words written on the hanging scroll in the tearoom meant, “Autumn is approaching, and the weather is getting colder. Please take good care of yourself.” I wish you a wonderful rest of your days in Japan! Mana
