“The most fun we had while in Kyoto”
We had so much fun riding e-bikes, learning more about Ninjas, seeing how they lives and the trick and weapons they used. We had delicious gelato, lunch, and specialty made coffee! Our kids loved it and had been their favorite thing during our stay in Kyoto. Thanks Taka!

“Fun and interesting visit to Shigaraki, one of the six ancient kilns of Japan”
Mana responded to my request on short notice, and I greatly enjoyed our tour to Shigaraki, one of the six ancient kilns of Japan. Mana made good use of our time on the train by sharing clever ways to remember Japanese phrases and words as well as a creative presentation about her background. A fun way to learn about the pottery was an opportunity to work with the local clay on a potters wheel. The instructor made it look easy. Another highlight was visiting a small studio and being able to learn directly from the artist and his wife ( both potters) about their process. We weren’t able to visit the ninja house because it was closed that day, but Mana’s knowledge peaked my interest for a future trip. Thank you Mana!

Dear Amy. Thank you for your great review. I was impressed by your profound knowledge of Japanese culture. We were fortunate to meet potters, and I am both pleased and relieved to receive such a positive review from you. It is truly delightful and appreciated that you have an interest in traditional culture that even some Japanese may not be familiar with, such as the Shikoku pilgrims or the Shoki-san on the roofs of Kyoto city. It serves as encouragement for me to continue learning more. I sincerely pray for your safe travels in the future.
