Hi, I’m Fukuyo—call me Francis! I’m originally from Kagoshima, but after spending time living in different places around Japan and abroad, I came back home three years ago.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to meet so many amazing people and learn about their history, culture, and traditions. One thing that’s really stayed with me is how important it is to connect with people—whether through chatting, sharing a meal, or simply exploring a place together—to truly understand it.

Since moving back to Kagoshima, my connection to the culture and traditions here has only grown. I’m especially fascinated by Kagoshima’s beautiful traditional handicrafts.

Now, I blend my deep love for this place with my belief that real connections are key to experiencing its heart. I offer tours that are authentic, fun, and all about connecting with the locals. My focus is on helping visitors learn about the local culture by interacting with the people here.
