Hi I'm Eiji, an English-speaking tour guide in Kagoshima and Amami Oshima. Born in Tokyo and left the bustling capital when I was 22 years old with my little backpack. I fell in love with Kagoshima the moment I set foot here, and it's been five years. I’m a national government licensed tour guide. Kagoshima is a perfect blend of stunning nature and rich culture. We can see the majestic Sakurajima volcano from the city to feel the powerful natural force. Kagoshima was home to major Meiji Restoration figures, so history lovers will find plenty to explore. And of course, the food is incredible—famous for Kurobuta (Berkshire pork), Satsuma-age (fried fish cakes), and Shochu (a local distilled spirit). I love eating, cooking, doing outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, and camping, telling stories of people who made Kagoshima what it is today. “Kagoshima Half Day”
Our guide,Sini was spectacular. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the local history and culture, making every stop come to life. For our first time in Kagoshima she made the history so interesting and explained everything in great detail but yet not over the top and we came away with so much information. She was very helpful answering our questions carefully. English was very good. She provided exactly the sites we wnated to see. She helped me shop for the souveirs I wanted. She was ablsolutely delightful
