Hi I'm Eiji, an English-speaking tour guide in Kagoshima and Amami Oshima. Born in Tokyo and left the bustling capital when I was 22 years old with my little backpack. I fell in love with Kagoshima the moment I set foot here, and it's been five years. I’m a national government licensed tour guide. Kagoshima is a perfect blend of stunning nature and rich culture. We can see the majestic Sakurajima volcano from the city to feel the powerful natural force. Kagoshima was home to major Meiji Restoration figures, so history lovers will find plenty to explore. And of course, the food is incredible—famous for Kurobuta (Berkshire pork), Satsuma-age (fried fish cakes), and Shochu (a local distilled spirit). I love eating, cooking, doing outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, and camping, telling stories of people who made Kagoshima what it is today. “Whisky and Samurai Tour”
We had a great time with Sini as our driver for touring the Kagoshima area. We went to the Kanosuke distillery which I highly recommend, the nearby pottery, and the Chiran samurai houses. It made for a great day and Sini is a highly professional and knowledgeable guide.

“Sakurajima and Sengan-en gardens ”
We can highly recommend Eiji as a knowledgeable, flexible and experienced guide. He transported by car which made our tour efficient and easy. He tailored our tour to our needs and we enjoyed chatting to him (his English is excellent). The tour of Sengan-en gardens was lovely-such a tranquil, beautiful place, and our visit to Sakurajima was memorable. I was delighted by the fact that Eiji shared my love of birdwatching and he enthusiastically incorporated bird identification and viewing into our day whenever we saw birds.
