I fell in love with Kagoshima the moment I set foot here, and it's been five years. I’m a national government licensed tour guide. Kagoshima is a perfect blend of stunning nature and rich culture. We can see the majestic Sakurajima volcano from the city to feel the powerful natural force. Kagoshima was home to major Meiji Restoration figures, so history lovers will find plenty to explore. And of course, the food is incredible—famous for Kurobuta (Berkshire pork), Satsuma-age (fried fish cakes), and Shochu (a local distilled spirit). I love eating, cooking, doing outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, and camping, telling stories of people who made Kagoshima what it is today. “ An Amazing Day Exploring Kagoshima’s Culture with Eiji!”
Our Kagoshima Culture Tour with Eiji K. was absolutely amazing! My husband, Ken, and I had a wonderful time from start to finish. Eiji was knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and an absolute joy to spend the day with. We visited the pottery village and student museum, enjoyed lunch at a local market, and stopped at a local brewery. Each stop offered a different glimpse into Kagoshima’s culture, history, and local traditions. Eiji’s warmth and knowledge brought the experience to life and made the entire day truly memorable. We highly recommend this tour with Eiji!.

“An amazing day out ”
I cannot recommend this tour more positively Mico was so knowledgeable and above all very patient. She literally thought of everything even down to buying public transport day passes. She went well beyond the time allocated and did not complain at all. In short she was a first class guide So thank you Mico

“Volcano island exploration ”
Sini was an excellent guide. Her English was perfect. 5 of us had a very comfortable van in which to travel. We took a ferry ride to Shiroyama volcano on an island near the port. We soaked our feet in the hot springs. The volcano was puffing a bit of smoke, but we found out that there was a sizable eruption only a couple of hours after we left the island. Not sure whether it was good or bad that we just missed it. We also visited a Japanese garden and home. Very interesting tour.
