Hello, I am a retired captain of a commuter airline, with over 40 years of experience and over 22,400 flight hours focused on providing safe and comfortable travel. After retiring, I worked as a volunteer guide for city walks in Kagoshima for eight years and obtained my certification as a certified guide for the World Heritage Sites in Kagoshima Prefecture. The shochu production season runs from late August to November, the same time as when fresh sweet potatoes are harvested. By witnessing the delicate manufacturing process and huge tanks that go into making shochu, you will deepen your respect to the brewers and your love for shochu. Rose Garden Kanoya is Japan's largest rose garden, with 35,000 roses planted on a vast 8ha site. Rose Festivals are held in spring, late April to June and fall, late October to early December.

“A fantastic afternoon tour”

Very punctual he waited for us at the exit of the cruise terminal. Since it was just me and my wife, she used her car, very comfortable, an excellent driver. The tour was perfect, a great guide, he gives the right explanations. We were able to do everything that was planned and he also took us to the botanical garden.
