I am a licensed tour guide and have a lot of experience in private tours in the Kansai area including Osaka. I was also appointed as one of the best inbound tour guides by the Japanese Tourism Agency. Adding to the career as an inbound tour guide, I also work as a gudie coach and a history lecturer in an inbound travel company and conducts tourism research in a university (is writing a doctoral theisis on the topic of "storytelling in the history tourism"). 

This tour will cover...
1) Japanese traditional life cultures: we visit the museum where you can experience "time-travel" to local cityscape in 200 hundred years ago and a shopping arcade which is less famous but loved by the locals. 
2) Japanese samurai cultures and history: we visit one of the largest castle in Japan where you can enjoy panoramic view of Osaka from the castle tower and you can find some insight into samurai cultures.
3) Contemporary popular culture: we visit some instagrammable spots and street food district (and sub-culture district as well, if you want.)

Along the way, you'll learn about Japan's rich history and culture, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and delve deeper into the sites you visit. In particular, the guide specializing in philosophy will allow you to deeply experience Japanese culture and spirituality, including Zen Buddhism, Pure Land Buddhism, modern philosophy, Shintoism, and Palace Culture, while enjoying Kyoto's cityscape and atmosphere.
