About Tour Guide Ken Y.
Hello. I‘m Ken.
I’m a certified guide for the city of Kyoto.
I live just in between Kyoto and Osaka. My hobbies are tennis, swimming, and windsurfing in the summer.
Kyoto is a city with over 1,000 years of history and so many attractions that it‘s difficult to see everything in one day. My tour includes highlights of Kyoto's popular spots making the most of your time. However, all of these can be customized based on your requests. I'll suggest spots to see based on your preferences, such as quiet areas away from the crowds.
I'd love to work with you to create a plan that will be wonderful memories.
I look forward to seeing you!

One day tour of "off the beaten track" in Kyoto
On this tour, you can enjoy the autumn foliage depending on the season. Kyoto is very popular with tourists, so most tourist attractions are usually crowded with people. While that can be lively and fun, some people might occasionally want to visit a less crowded place. This tour is perfect for those people. On this tour, you will spend a full day walking through Sagano, visiting Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple, Adashino Nenbutsu-ji Temple, Gio-ji Temple, Jojakko-in Temple, and Seiryo-ji Temple.

“Great insight in Kyoto's highlights”
Many thanks to Ken-san for showing us the highlights of Kyoto. Due to my wife's mobility issues, I am thankful that Ken-san did a lot of preparation to ensure smooth logistics from sight to sight. And he has a great eye as a photographer too and took some nice pictures with us.

Dear Martins-san, I'm glad you enjoyed your first trip to Kyoto. I'm happy that I was able to show you the main tourist spots in one day, and that you enjoyed the cherry blossoms at Maruyama Park. This was my first time hosting guests from Latvia, and I was delighted to spend time with such a lovely couple and wonderful friends. I look forward to seeing you again. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos! Thank you for the wonderful review. Best regards, Ken

Hi I'm Rina. Thank you for your interest, and welcome to Japan. I was born and raised in Osaka, and I’m truly excited to show you both the city’s famous landmarks and its hidden gems. Osaka is full of incredible food and fun places to explore. I enjoy guiding guests into Osaka’s hidden, local neighborhoods where you can taste unusual dishes and discover spots only locals know. I look forward to guiding you through an Osaka you’ll want to return to. Soy principiante y no hablo mucho español, pero me encanta recibir a huéspedes hispanohablantes.

A Local Friend in Kansai — Meet Atif Hey there! I’m Atif, a travel lover who’s been calling Osaka home for the past few years. What started as a curious adventure quickly turned into a deep love for this region — the food, the people, and all the little hidden corners that make Kansai so special. Now, I spend my days sharing those discoveries with travelers who want to see the real Japan — not just the postcard version. What I Offer Fun & Flexible Tours: No boring scripts here! I plan each tour around you — whether you love taking photos, tasting street food, exploring quiet temples, or getting lost in neon-lit backstreets. Local Secrets: After years of wandering Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe, I’ve found the best hidden gems — from tiny noodle shops to peaceful gardens and back-alley shrines. Laughs & Memories: My tours aren’t just about facts — they’re about fun. Expect stories, local legends, and maybe even a karaoke challenge (if you’re brave enough)! Why Travel with Me Because travel should feel like exploring with a local friend, not following a flag in a crowd. I love good food, spontaneous detours, and showing people the Kansai that most tourists miss. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, I’ll make sure you experience something new — and unforgettable. Let’s Start the Adventure! Ready to explore Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, or Kobe? Let’s laugh, learn, eat, and wander together — Kansai style!
