The best of the historic Stockholm! Gamla Stan (Old Town in Swedish) is where the modern capital meets the medieval Stockholm. We will visit all the highlights and cover both Stockholm as well as Swedish and Nordic history, from its roots in the medieval times to modern days. We meet in Riddarholmen, spend time in Stadsholmen, Royal Palace and later we finish in the Parliament area. Depending on day/time, if any churches are open, I will buy us all entrance tickets for the different churches!

We make the following stops: -we start from the medieval centre in Stockholm walking the coobbled streets and stoping by the Cathedral, the Nobel museum...,( 40 '), -then we move to the City Hall,home to the annual Nobel Banquet ( 30' ), -We board the ferry for a scenic voyage across Lake Malaren ( 50'), -we visit Drottningholm Castle , the official residence of H.M. the King of Sweden since 1981 and Unesco Wolrd Hetitage site (1 h 30').
