Food is life in Tanzania. But this isn’t just a food tour of the city. The day kicks off with a cooking class where we’ll be learning how to make mandazi (sweet doughnuts), Chapati and cook ugali (a staple food in Tanzania). Whilst you’re honing your new craft I’ll tell you all about the culinary specialities of Tanzania, and what the locals eat on pretty much a daily basis. Then it comes to eating!

You can get a taxicab or an uber to reach here but if you want, I can come and pick you up from your hotel so that you don't get lost.
When you get home, you become a local person. Everything will be done as we do in our daily life, starting from recipes, to how to eat. We recommend that you come in the morning so that we can start the day together by preparing breakfast which we always prefer tea over a coffee. We will cook snacks together which are water pancakes. I promise you, once you can.. you won't want to eat what I made. Your pancake will be the right choice.
While we wait for our tea will head out for a minute going to a nearby local shop to buy the necessities to cook the second meal.
We will come back and have breakfast then start helping each other peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces as it's needed, Chipsi mayai is easy, You get bored making. We are all witnesses, most of the places in Africa know about corn meal but here we call it ugali. We will provide you with all the details, step by step. It is impossible to eat this food without vegetables on the side, it could be any roast. We will make sure you enjoy the last meal
Until then you will have acquired knowledge of customs and the skill of cooking Tanzanian food, you're not gonna live empty handed
This is a truly immersive and interactive tour where you take away more than a full belly.

There are some certain customs to observe if you want to blend in and avoid offence. Did you show you should never smell your food here? And there is an art to eating ugali with only your right hand!
