Meeting Point
Your Bangkok Hotel
- Meet your private guide and driver directly at your hotel lobby. We’ll skip the morning city rush and head west toward Kanchanaburi (approx. 2.5-hour drive).
The Bridge Over the River Kwai
Arrive at the iconic World War II landmark. Take your time walking across the historical iron bridge, capturing photos, and learning about the gripping history of the prisoners of war who built it.
Scenic Death Railway Train Ride
We’ll board the local third-class train from the River Kwai Bridge station. This 1.5-hour journey offers a nostalgic feel and takes you through countryside landscapes. The ultimate highlight is the wooden viaduct hugging the cliffside at Tham Krasae, looking right over the River Kwai!
Arrival at Tham Krasae & Riverside Lunch
Step off the train at Tham Krasae station. We will enjoy a relaxing Thai lunch at a local restaurant right by the river with a great view of the railway tracks.
Explore Krasae Cave & Cliffside Walk
Take a short walk inside the cave used as a campsite during WWII. Afterward, we'll walk safely along the cliffside wooden tracks for some of the best photo opportunities of the trip.
Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (Don-Rak)
Before heading back, we’ll visit the beautifully maintained cemetery where over 6,000 Allied prisoners of war rest. It’s a quiet, peaceful space that offers a poignant conclusion to our historical journey.
Head back to Bangkok
Relax in our comfortable air-conditioned vehicle as we drive back to the city, dropping you safely at your hotel around 06:30 PM (depending on Bangkok traffic).

“Bangkok highlights”
During our short stay in Bangkok Lin put together a great itinerary. Lin used her local knowledge to ensure we saw as much of Bangkok as possible using different modes of transport including the ferry, sky train and Tuk Tuk. Lin was very professional, friendly and accommodating to our needs. We would recommend Lin if you want to get the most out of your stay in Bangkok.
