Through Bow&Arrow - Turkish Archery Experience

From 500's to 1500's Turks and Mongols dominated the world's battlefields. This success was thanks to the technology of composite curved bows. In this tour, we will learn the history of archery and then specifically focus on Turksh-Ottoman archery. At the end of the tour, I will teach you archery in our private archery range.

We will start our journey with the history of Turkish archery
Archery Museum
In this museum, we will have a the chance to see the evolution of archery throughout history.
Archers Lodge
We will visit the different sections of the Archers Lodge to see the library, arrow workshop, and leather workshop.
Private Range
Now it is time to practice archery. I will teach you how to prepare a bow, different shooting techniques, and styles. At the end, we will have a small competition.

Tour Important Information
This is an experience-based tour so there will be sportive activity. If you are new to archery I recommend you wear something with long sleeves, because it is possible that the bowstring might hit your arm and cause a little pain. Also, for sensitive skin, you can bring a small glove to protect your left arm from arrow cuts.
This is a private entity. So sometimes the place is closed because of certain events and competitions. Please contact me beforehand so we can arrange the days.

My name is Berkay. I have started my life as an engineering student yet decided that this is not my passion. So I have decided to become a tour guide just like my father.
