- Meet by Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square. I will hold up a sign with your name on.
Trafalgar Square
We start our Changing of the Guard and Buckingham Palace walking tour at 10 am in Trafalgar Square.
We will head off down The Mall to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard with a marching band.
On your tour we will see three Royal Palaces, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, St James’s Palace, The Mall, The King’s Life Guards at Horseguards, a beautiful Royal Park and Trafalgar Square. All this in one morning, with a cheerful, friendly guide who makes history come alive with interesting, fun stories along the way.
Along the way your guide Caroline, who was featured guiding on the BBC, will regale you with fun, interesting historical stories.
Parliament Square
The walk ends here in time for lunch. If you'd like to add on an extension to this walk, Caroline will take you on the River Thames to Borough Market for lunch, or the Tower of London or to Churchill's War Rooms, Covent Garden or the National Gallery.

The walk starts with theatres at a time when all actresses were considered prostitutes and the stage a place for clients to find them. We see where street-walkers and bawdy houses were linked with playhouses, hear about bawdy-house keepers and women who worked in them, homosexual Molly Houses, Jelly Houses, Coffee Houses and Bagnios.
