Auburn Avenue African American Human Rights/Civil Rights Half Day Tour is historic and educational. This historic tour will take guest to a place of struggle and achievements. From 1865 Emancipation to Atlanta modern Civil Rights movement. Guest will see areas where Atlanta Black citizens were Red Line, the area today we refer to as Historic West End Village.

Guests will travel to Historic West End Village and Historic Vine City Community. A must see is the first Black high school in the state of Georgia and the home of Alonzo Herndon, completed in 1910.
Atlanta Student Movement Street, is the street where students travel to, to get to Downtown Atlanta sagerated department stores to protest racism and discrimination in Atlanta, Georgia. A movement that galavanized the nation. Black students thought out the America marched off their Historically Black colleges and Universities campus to fight for equality and respect in America. A movement that was joined by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in Atlanta, from 1960 to 1965.

Important things that guests need to know about this tour are as follows. America Black communities were denied all human rights and civil rights. We will start from America fake Emancipation 1865 to America modern civil rights movement 1965. Georgia first Black public high school for Black citizens were built in 1924, prior to this, there were no public high school in Georgia or Atlanta for Black Student to attend. We must put attention on booker T Washington. known to Black America as the great Black Educator. Booker T Washington partnered with Julius Rosenthal to build Normal Schools though out the deep south for Black students in America, these schools became known as The Rosenwald Schools. Over 100 years ago Booker T Washington, Julius Rosenwald, and Black churches build schools for its Black citizens in America
