Visit the Mirabell Garden and walk to the old town passing Mozart’s Residence, crossing the river Salzach.
Why not come and see for yourself! Enjoy a walk through the beautiful Mirabell Garden. From the Rose Hill, you will have one of the most beautiful views of Salzburg. Take some fun pictures and stop by the famous "Four Element" Fountain in the center of the Garden.
Walk to the arts & crafts district at Linzergasse and Steingasse
Makart square - Mozarts Wohnhaus
At the next square, you will see Mozart's Residence, the Trinity Church and the State Theater. Many buildings from different centuries form this square and is named after a famous painter.
Continue your walk to the arts & crafts district and learn about the local handmade products.
Salzach river and a view into the old town
Walk to the Salzach river and enjoy a beautiful view of the old town of Salzburg. Explore the historical city center on your walk.
Getreidegasse - Mozart's Birthplace
Find beautifully wrought iron signs, arts and craft shops between famous name brands along the narrow shopping street. Mozart’s Birthplace is right in the center of Getreidegasse.
Take a walk along the shopping street to Mozart’s Birthplace, Visit the St. Peter District, the oldest restaurant Europe’s and St. Peter cemetery and earn more about the music festival events at the Salzburg Festival Hall

Right in the center of town is an impressive view to the St. Peter church , also known for the oldest restaurants Europe’s and the historic cemetery. Nearby you will find the important building of the Salzburg Festival events.
University square - Old Market square
Continue through an alleyway to one of the most fun places in Salzburg - the Farmers Market at the University square. This big, baroque church forms an impressive backdrop for the food stands.

Do not hesitate to try the local cheese, sausages, fruits and pretzels with some local beer or fresh water.
Visit the Fortress Hohensalzburg, take a funicular to the top, set yourself back in time and let this place come to live through interesting stories from your guide
At the end of the tour take the funicular to the top of the fortress Hohensalzburg and enjoy the view into Salzburg. From this over 900-year-old fortress, you can even view the Northern Limestone Alps and on a very clear day, you can see the Eagles Nest in the far distance.
My guided tour will give you the insider’s view of the city with tips on how to get the most out of your vacation here. You will learn lots of historical facts along with a few funny anecdotes about Salzburg. Then it is time to enjoy the buzz of the city on your own.
Visit the Salzburg Dom and Residence square
But for us, it is time to continue the tour to the Residenzplatz. The architecture changes all of a sudden. The small streets and the shops are replaced with big spacious squares, a big Residence fountain in the centre of the square, the Old Residenz and the New Residenz, the Dom square and the Chapter square. Most buildings hold precious treasures and art of Salzburg's history, definitely worth to visit. Take a walk into the Salzburg Dom and find many frescos, altars and organs. The crypt holds many graves from the former Prince-Archbishops and even modern art in a 12th-century apsis. On the way out we will find the baptismal where W.A.Mozart was baptized.

The Old Market square is surrounded by shops and famous coffee houses. This is a place to enjoy the rest of your day after the tour with a cup of good coffee and freshly made apple strudel.
