“Airport pickup and Santiago tour ”
We had an outstanding experience with Manfred as our guide! From the moment he picked us up at the airport, we knew we were in good hands. Manfred was an excellent communicator, kind, relaxed, and incredibly accommodating throughout our time in Santiago. With a wealth of knowledge about both adventure and culture, he was a valuable resource, offering insightful tips that enhanced the rest of our trip—like where to find the best food, how to get a good exchange rate, and so much more. Even though our flight arrived early, Manfred was easy to spot at the airport and made sure we were comfortable from the start. His spacious van comfortably fit all of our luggage, including ski bags, and he kindly dropped us off at our hotel to get settled before the tour began. We then explored Santiago, visiting all the city's top highlights while learning about Chile’s rich cultural history and modern life. Manfred’s unique perspectives and fascinating nuggets of knowledge really brought the city to life. One of the things we appreciated most was how flexible Manfred was with the itinerary. While he offered great suggestions, we were also encouraged to tailor the tour to our interests. A highlight was stumbling upon a folk dance parade in the heart of downtown, where we got to watch stunning traditional costumes and dances, immersing ourselves in the local festivities. And if you're looking for someone to capture the moments, Manfred is happy to take photos for you too! We cannot recommend Manfred highly enough. His passion for his work, his genuine kindness, and his attention to detail made our trip unforgettable. By the end of the tour, we truly felt like we had made a good friend in Santiago. If you're looking for a top-notch guide, you’re in excellent hands with Manfred!

Given Chile’s overwhelming size and varying terrain, touring looks different depending on where you are. In Santiago, walking and riding the metro and the bus is the best way. If you’re in the Atacama or more remote regions, a private car or long distance bus will get you where you need to be. Trekking and hiking is popular in the Patagonia region, but supervision is required at certain points.
If you’re trying to plan a roadmap for touring Chile, talk to a local Chilean guide about your transport options.
This depends on where you’re going and which activities you’d like to take part in. For Puerto Varas and the greater Patagonia area, November to March is best while Santiago is best enjoyed from September to March.
Yes, Chile is the second safest country in Latin America and the wealthiest nation in South America, and despite political unrest in 2018-2019 within Santiago and the Araucania region, the US Travel Advisory gives Chile the same safety precautions and advisories as Germany or France.
Though the Atacama, the Andes Mountains and Easter Island are known the world over, Patagonia remains the most famous tourist attraction. With 140,458 visitors viewing this stunningly wild landscape through the Torres Del Paine National Park in 2022, it’s a testament to the otherworldly landscapes this nation is fortunate to have.
That’s a tough one! Chile is home to mind bending marvels such as Easter Island (Rapa Nui), Elqui Valley, Torres Del Paine National Park, Atacama’s Laguna Verde & Chiloe, so choosing one is impossible. With that said, most consider Patagonia to be the most breathtaking.
