Built on the foundation of the Forbidden City, the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties, it is the largest and best-preserved ancient palace complex in the world.
The Forbidden City, the former imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties, was built in the 18th year of the Ming Yongle (1420), and a total of 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived here.
