Gubei Water Town And Simatai Great Wall
Gubei Water Town, established in the 14th century, is a Jiangnan-style water town resort adjacent to the Simatai Great Wall. It features Great Wall culture, hot spring wellness, and folk customs experiences. Gubeikou Town has historically served as the vital gateway from northern regions into the Central Plains, earning it the titles “Gateway to Yanjing” and “Key to the Capital.” Its unique military heritage attracted countless scholars and literati, with emperors Kangxi and Qianlong repeatedly praising it: to extol its formidable terrain and strategic significance.
Simatai Great Wall is renowned for its precipitous cliffs and is classified as a “primitive Great Wall.” Famous for its five defining characteristics—steepness, density, uniformity, ingenuity, and completeness—it was named by The Times as “the top of 25 must-see sights worldwide.” After tour, we may enjoy interesting tea ceremony and have several cups of tea for relaxing,

“An Unforgettable Beijing Experience with Tony”
Spending five days in Beijing with Tony as our guide was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the very beginning, he brought the city to life with his deep knowledge, engaging storytelling, and genuine passion for sharing Beijing’s history and culture. Our journey started at the Bell and Drum Tower Square, where Tony blended history with present-day life, pointing out locals dancing and playing games. As we explored local markets and traditional hutongs, he offered insights we never would have discovered on our own. He made every stop feel meaningful. The visit to the Forbidden City was incredible. Tony guided us through its vast history with ease, making such a massive and crowded site feel engaging and manageable. Our day at the Great Wall of China was equally unforgettable—he handled all logistics seamlessly, and his explanations added depth to the experience. A countryside lunch where we caught and ate fresh trout was a unique and memorable touch. At sites like the Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, and Tiananmen Square, Tony continued to impress with his knowledge and ability to keep everything interesting without overwhelming us. What truly set Tony apart was his flexibility, attention to detail, and care for our experience. From great food recommendations to adjusting plans to fit our pace, everything felt personalized. By the end of the trip, Tony felt more like a friend than a guide. If you’re visiting Beijing, we highly recommend him—he will make your experience unforgettable.

The Great Wall of Mutianyu
the Great Wall is the most highlight tourist site of Beijing , Mutianyu is the less busy section. It is located northeast Beijing about 80 kilometers( 50 miles) and it takes about 1.5 hours drive in a good driving condition. go with David tours you will have a VIP path to drive you to the top parking, avoid shuttle bus we can reach the entrance quickly, go up and down by cable car, or go up by chairlift and slide down by tobaggon, the tobaggon is the most fun part after the Great Wall hiking.
