Temple of Heaven
The Temple of Heaven Park in Beijing, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese architecture. Built in the 15th century, it served as the imperial venue for Ming and Qing emperors to perform solemn rituals praying for good harvests. Its iconic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, with its triple - tiered roof, stands as a symbol of imperial grandeur. Surrounded by vast gardens and ancient cypress trees, the park combines profound historical significance with serene beauty.

“Excellent guide!”
We were in Beijing for 1 week. Claire was fantastic! We did 2 day tours with her. She arrived promptly and guided us to the Great Wall/ panda zoo/ summer palace. She had loads of interesting information . She was flexible to follow our needs during the very hot days we were there. Not only that she helped us book tickets to shows and gave many helpful suggestions of places we might be interested in seeing / restaurants to go to. Felt we were in trustworthy hands . “ Five Stars for an Exceptional Beijing Guide”
Beijing is a truly special city. It’s not just about the famous sights and landmarks, but also the rich history, culture, traditions, and stories that bring this place of immense significance to life. Clare was the perfect guide to help us experience all of this. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has a gift for explaining complex historical and cultural topics in a simple, engaging, and easy-to-understand way. We were a family of five with diverse needs—two seniors, two adults, and a teenager—and Clare was able to tailor the experience so that everyone enjoyed the tour. We made a last-minute decision to attend a Peking Opera performance, and Clare went out of her way to help us by collecting the tickets on our behalf. “Informative tour with a dynamic tour guide”
Clare was great from start to finish! My mother isn't the most mobile and Clare and our driver accommodated quite well. We also had disruptions to our tour schedule because of last minute events in Beijing, but Clare did a great job changing the agenda on the fly to optimize our time in Beijing.
