This tour covers the must-visit top attractions for 1st time travelers to Beijing, that is, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven, with transportation (from hotel pick-up to hotel drop-off) provided.
Forbidden City has been served as the imperial palace for ancient Chinese dynasties for over 600 years since 1420 for Ming & Qing Dynasty.
Temple of Heaven, which was also built in 1420, has always been the most important imperial worshipping and ceremonial site for ancient China.

Meeting Point
Your Hotel Lobby (Beijing)
- I would meet you up at your hotel lobby. By default we would go by private transportation (Volkswagen, Buick GL8, Mercedes Benz Vito, Mini-bus etc.). Ride-hailing is also available per requirement.
Meridian Gate of Forbidden City
That's the only entrance to the Forbidden City and also the starting point of our journey to ancient China.
This was once the place where the emperor punished officials and we're also doing security check and ticket checking (pls bring your passport for this) at this place
Lunch Break/ Rest inside the Forbidden City
By default we don't provide foods. So you could buy foods (hamburger, noodles, coffee etc.) in the restaurants inside the Forbidden City. If you need me to prepare for the foods (e.g. Subway, sandwiches etc.), pls let me know.
Gate of Divine Prowess of the Forbidden City
Finished the touring for the Forbidden City and heading to our next stop, Temple of Heaven
Our route will include: 6main palaces and buildings on the central axis in the Outer Court and Inner Palace + Palace of Compassion and Longevity (aka Sculpture Gallery) + Palace of Tranquility and Longevity (aka Treasure Gallery) + Palace of Prolonging Happiness + Palace of Great Benevolence + Imperial Garden
Pls be noted that the actual route could adjust according to the time plan of that day.
South Gate of Temple of Heaven
The starting point of the tour of Temple of Heaven. We would enter it through the South Gate as that's also the gate an emperor would first visit during sacrificial ceremonies.
My recommended route is to begin from the South Gate of the Temple of Heaven, go all the way north to visit the Circular Mound Altar (Altar for Heaven), Imperial Vault and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest (Altar for Harvest), which is similar to the route for an emperor when he visited here for sacrificial ceremonies.
Western Gate/ Eastern Gate of Temple of Heaven
That's the end of our visit to the historical sites in Beijing that day! We would drop you off to your hotel after the tour.
Ending Point
Your hotel, your preferred dinner restaurant, or any other destination (in Beijing)

Hi this is Chen! It’s always more than the sceneries. Stories bring the attractions alive! Story-telling is what I believed to be one of the best ways to do a tour. I offer a unique touring service that focuses on the ancient and genuine historical tales and stories. I took a story-based narration combined with the historical palaces. I also did historical fact checks to ensure the authenticity of the stories I share.
$700/ per group
