- 08:00 | Hotel Lobby Pick‑up Meet your professional English‑speaking guide and private driver at your hotel lobby, depart by comfortable air‑conditioned private car toward the city centre. 09:00 – 11:30 The Forbidden City (Palace Museum) Skip‑the‑line entry with pre‑booked real‑name tickets. This enormous palace complex served as home and ruling centre for 24 Ming‑Qing emperors over nearly six centuries. Your guide leads you through the central axis, introducing grand ceremonial halls, inner residential courtyards, imperial gardens and lesser‑known anecdotes of royal life, court politics and ancient Chinese rituals.

Mutianyu Great Wall Exploration
After the scenic‑area shuttle bus, choose your preferred way up and down:
• Option A: Round‑trip cable car
•Option B: Chairlift up + toboggan slide down
Different from the overcrowded Badaling section, Mutianyu is celebrated as one of the best‑preserved, most scenic Great Wall stretches. Dotted with full watchtowers amid forested hills, it draws global visitors. Its earliest foundations are from the 6th‑century Northern‑Qi Dynasty; the existing wall was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty and fortified by General Qi Jiguang in 1404.

“Fab tour guide, great tour of Beijing must see attractions ”
We selected Clare for a private tour in Beijing following a recommendation from a friend that we would need a guide in Beijing, he was right. Clare was punctual, waiting in our Hotel lobby at 8.30 for day 1, and we were superbly looked after from that point onwards.
