The Forbidden City lies in the center of Beijing, built from 1406 to 1420. It served as the imperial palace for 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

It is the world’s largest well-preserved ancient wooden palace complex. With grand layouts, red walls and golden roofs, it shows the highest level of ancient Chinese architecture. It also collects countless precious cultural relics.

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a precious symbol of Chinese history and traditional culture.
