Another side of Dubrovnik - Old Town walking Tour
Do you want to try and see something different, a part of the Old Town which is more authentic, local, and unique?
Let's visit the Old Town together, but not just the main center where everyone goes to. In the backstreets of that beautiful masterpiece within the walls, streets with narrow paths and quiet terraces, where local people drink their coffee and kids play all the time, is the most traditional and local part of the city - one that hosts most of the city residents today. Let's go!
Meeting Point
Brsalje sqaure or your hotel
Pile Gate
- Meeting point for our tour will be outside the Pile Gate (west). The square outside that gate is called Brsalje ( with a beautiful fountain right in the middle under gorgeous Platanus trees ). If your accommodation is closer to Ploče gate (east), let me know and we can change the location.
Center of the Old Town
During our walk, we will visit major historical sites in the city:
- we'll stop by the church of St. Blaise,
- Luža Square,
- stop by and take pictures of Rector's Palace and pass by the Old Port, just like the charming old streets of the Old Town
Old Pat of town called Karmen
This is where peace and calm are, without many crowds or big groups walking with their guide. Once you visit this part of the city by walking with me all the way to st. Marija part is something much different than what you see on the main street, no big luxurious palaces, and famous political city institutions, but homes of the locals, schools, and former convents are what can be seen here. Getting to feel all parts of the Old Town is crucial in order to have an understanding of the city. After this tour, you will understand that much better.

This tour is consisted of walking around the center without many steps, and a second part that includes some stairs. So wear good shoes and bring water with you. will be happy to answer any questions you might have and recommend you places to see besides the tour, restaurants, and activities. This is by far my favorite tour and I am looking forward to hosting you in our city and our home as well! And I can customize the tour for you.
