DUBROVNIK TOP 3 : OLD TOWN, CITY WALLS, CABLE CAR
Get the best of Dubrovnik in this 3.5-hour long tour! Enjoy the mix of history, stunning panoramic view over the Old town, and the cold beer or ice cream on the city walls. If you would prefer to change the combination, time of the visit or something else, let me know and we can arrange it.

The tour starts on the small square, just a few steps from the main entrance to the Old Town called Pile Gate.
Cable car station
After we meet, we will proceed to the cable car station. In the meantime, I will give you the most important information about our country and Dubrovnik.
Mount Srđ (it takes 3 minutes by cable car to reach the top)
Once we get to the top of Mount Srd you will have the opportunity to take amazing photos of the whole Old town and surroundings. I will show you the most important things and, as this place was very important for the town during the Croatian homeland war in the '90s, I will explain to you what happened with our country at that time.
If you want, you can visit the Museum of Croatian War of Independence situated on Mount Srd (tickets not included).
Dubrovnik Old town
After visiting Mount Srd we go back by cable car to the Old town. Once we enter the town, we will immerse ourselves in the fascinating history of one of the richest city-states in Medieval Europe. Sponza Palace, Jewish street, Saint Blaise church, main street Stradun, Old port, Cathedral, Rector's Palace, green market, Onofrio's fountain are some of the incredible monuments and places you're going to see and learn about.

Once we reach the main entrance to the city walls, we will climb the stairs together to enjoy the breathtaking birds-eye view of Dubrovnik’s old town monuments and surroundings.
City walls
We will head forward to the south side of the walls facing the sea where you will see the Fort of Saint Lawrence, the Ethnographical museum, the island of Lokrum. Once we reach Saint John Fortress, you will have a bird-eye view of the charming Old port with its small boats and restaurants. Saint John Fortress houses a Maritime museum with many interesting artifacts and stories about incredible Dubrovnik’s maritime history. After Saint John's Fortress, we will proceed towards the north side of the walls. The view over the whole Old town and its terracotta roofs from this northside is incredible. A great moment to take beautiful photos!
Old town- city walls
After 4 hours walk, we will end our tour. If you get tired during the walk in the city walls, it is not mandatory to do the whole circle. There are two possible exits before reaching the main exit.
I will pay attention to give you enough time to take photos, ask questions, grab an ice-cream or some other refreshments. If you want, in the end, you can sit in one of the bars situated on the city walls or I can accompany you to one of the most popular bars just outside the city walls to enjoy the beautiful view of the shimmering Adriatic sea.

“Charming and informative”
As my wife has limited mobility we would not have been able to keep up with most tour groups and so we booked Ana for a personal guided tour of Dubrovnik. Ana met us on time without difficulty. In practice we didn't spend a lot of time walking - our choice - but we did spend a lot of time talking about life in modern Croatia and its recent interesting and turbulent history. We really enjoyed this and when we walked with Ana it was at a pace with we could manage.
