Meeting Point
Pile Gate
Pile Gate
The tour starts on the small square, just a few steps from the main entrance to the Old Town called Pile Gate.
Cable car station
After we meet, we will proceed to the cable car station. In the meantime, I will give you the most important information about our country and Dubrovnik.
Mount Srđ (it takes 4 minutes by cable car to reach the top)
Once we reach the top of Mount Srd, you’ll have the chance to capture stunning photos of the entire Old Town and the surrounding areas. I’ll walk you through the key sights, and since this spot played a crucial role during the Croatian Homeland War in the '90s, I’ll share the important history and events that shaped our country during that time.
If you’re interested, we can also visit the Museum of Croatian War of Independence located on Mount Srd (entrance tickets not included).
Dubrovnik Old town
After visiting Mount Srd, we’ll take the cable car back down to the Old Town. Once we enter, we’ll step into the fascinating history of one of the wealthiest city-states of Medieval Europe.
You’ll get to see incredible landmarks like Sponza Palace, the charming Jewish Street, Saint Blaise Church, the iconic Stradun, the Old Port, the Cathedral, Rector's Palace, the vibrant green market, and Onofrio’s Fountain. I’ll share stories and history behind each of these remarkable places.
Main entrance to the city walls
Once we reach the main entrance to the city walls, we will climb the stairs together to enjoy the breathtaking birds-eye view of Dubrovnik’s old town monuments and surroundings.
City walls
We’ll continue to the south side of the walls, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the sea, the Fort of Saint Lawrence, the Ethnographical Museum, and the beautiful island of Lokrum.
As we reach Saint John Fortress, you’ll be treated to a bird’s-eye view of the charming Old Port with its small boats and cozy restaurants. Inside Saint John Fortress, you'll find the Maritime Museum, full of fascinating artifacts and stories that tell the incredible tale of Dubrovnik's maritime history.
We will then make our way to the north side of the walls, where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing panoramic view of the Old Town and its terracotta roofs – a perfect opportunity to capture some beautiful photos!
Old town- city walls
After a 4-hour walk, we’ll conclude our tour. If you start feeling tired while walking along the city walls, don’t worry — it’s not mandatory to complete the entire circuit. There are two exits along the way, so you can choose to leave before reaching the main exit.
I’ll make sure to give you plenty of time to take photos, ask questions, or grab an ice cream or a refreshing drink. If you’d like, we can end the tour by relaxing at one of the bars on the city walls, or I can take you to one of the most popular bars just outside the walls, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the shimmering Adriatic Sea.

Dear travelers,
I’m a local certified guide for Dubrovnik and its surroundings.
I’m in love with history, languages, gastronomy, and travels. I'm also a mum of two little kids, so I don't have much free time :) but when I do, I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, doing pilates, watching documentaries, and listening to interesting podcasts.
My work experience includes guiding in Dubrovnik (old town, city walls, cable car, island Lokrum), Elafiti islands, the island of Korčula, Pelješac peninsula, Konavle Region.
Our country is small but has a lot to offer and I always do my best to present it in the best way, to balance information and interesting facts about the history and everyday life.
Looking forward to meeting you !
Salut,

“Magical Day in Dubrovnik”
How do I put into words the amazing journey Ana took us on during our visit to Dubrovnik Old Town and the City Walls. Fantastic, Magical, Amazing, Joyous, Historical! When we booked the tour, my wife and had no idea what to expect on our first visit to Dubrovnik so when we met Ana at the city gates, her charming smile, soft demeanor and lovely personality confirmed we made the right choice for guides. Ana, being a historian, linguist and a lifelong resident of Dubrovnik started us off with a brief history of the City Gates and her fantastic city. Upon climbing the stairs to the WALL (you know nothing John Snow) Ana began our journey with a walking tour and history lesson on the castle walls and the development of the city inside. It was beyond our dreams to have our first trip to Croatia be put into the hands of a truly passionate and knowledgeable guide. To truly know a city and its heart and soul one should embrace the history and culture for a journey that excites the mind and leaves a lasting impression on you! My wife and I were taken with Ana's depth of her passion for the castle and the amazing wall. Trekking the entire wall, you get to see 360 degrees of the most beautiful scenery along the Croatian coast. Couple that with the variety of shops and restaurants our senses were satisfied to the limit. Ana took us to her favorite places (her children loved them too) like the candy shop with so many different varieties of sugar; the gelato shop (had to taste this too!) We shopped for Olive Oil and Local cheeses and meats. Spectacular! Ana wasn't done yet and we boarded the Cable Car to the top of Dubrovnik for a view of the Old Town, the blue green waters of the Adriatic and the hills behind us. She gave us the history of her city with passion and love that you can't get from just any guide. If you are booking a guide to visit this city, then there is only one choice - Ana!
