About Tour Guide Ana B.
Dear travelers,
I’m a local certified guide for Dubrovnik and its surroundings.
I’m in love with history, languages, gastronomy, and travels. I'm also a mum of two little kids, so I don't have much free time :) but when I do, I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, doing pilates, watching documentaries, and listening to interesting podcasts.
My work experience includes guiding in Dubrovnik (old town, city walls, cable car, island Lokrum), Elafiti islands, the island of Korčula, Pelješac peninsula, Konavle Region.
Our country is small but has a lot to offer and I always do my best to present it in the best way, to balance information and interesting facts about the history and everyday life.
Looking forward to meeting you !
Salut,

“Magical Day in Dubrovnik”
How do I put into words the amazing journey Ana took us on during our visit to Dubrovnik Old Town and the City Walls. Fantastic, Magical, Amazing, Joyous, Historical! When we booked the tour, my wife and had no idea what to expect on our first visit to Dubrovnik so when we met Ana at the city gates, her charming smile, soft demeanor and lovely personality confirmed we made the right choice for guides. Ana, being a historian, linguist and a lifelong resident of Dubrovnik started us off with a brief history of the City Gates and her fantastic city. Upon climbing the stairs to the WALL (you know nothing John Snow) Ana began our journey with a walking tour and history lesson on the castle walls and the development of the city inside. It was beyond our dreams to have our first trip to Croatia be put into the hands of a truly passionate and knowledgeable guide. To truly know a city and its heart and soul one should embrace the history and culture for a journey that excites the mind and leaves a lasting impression on you! My wife and I were taken with Ana's depth of her passion for the castle and the amazing wall. Trekking the entire wall, you get to see 360 degrees of the most beautiful scenery along the Croatian coast. Couple that with the variety of shops and restaurants our senses were satisfied to the limit. Ana took us to her favorite places (her children loved them too) like the candy shop with so many different varieties of sugar; the gelato shop (had to taste this too!) We shopped for Olive Oil and Local cheeses and meats. Spectacular! Ana wasn't done yet and we boarded the Cable Car to the top of Dubrovnik for a view of the Old Town, the blue green waters of the Adriatic and the hills behind us. She gave us the history of her city with passion and love that you can't get from just any guide. If you are booking a guide to visit this city, then there is only one choice - Ana! Greetings from Croatia to all the new and past visitors of this alluring part of Europe... Make your vacation a beautiful memory to think of when life gives you a ton of headaches to worry about. Take advantage of it and seize the priceless cultural and natural Croatian heritage - discover the endless beauties and classic tales that go with it... Frane (Frah-neh) is my name and I've been a licensed guide for the last 15 years: cooperating with many tour companies, and always open to new challenges. As a history professor in Croatia, my passion is history, and it's significate to the effects of modern life. My tours throughout Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Montenegro are all private with me as a driver/guide with private transportation. A family crossover (up to 4 participants) and if you are a small group, I will arrange sizeable and comfortable transportation with a professional driver. I'll be delighted to be your local connection with the outstanding legacy that Croatia has to offer in this time when tourism has to rise from its own ashes. Let's make a change together.

For the past nine years, I've been guiding private tours through the historical heart of Dubrovnik, specializing in the Old Town and its iconic City Walls. My fifteen years in the tourism sector have equipped me with a deep understanding of what makes a truly enriching experience. My approach goes beyond simply reciting dates and facts. I believe in weaving historical knowledge into engaging narratives that provide real context, allowing my guests to connect with Dubrovnik and its story on a deeper level. I often draw parallels to their own backgrounds, creating a more personal and meaningful understanding of the destination. My path to becoming a tour guide has been shaped by a diverse professional life across several continents. From working with relief agencies in challenging environments to managing complex logistics, these experiences have instilled in me strong organizational skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. This unique background allows me to anticipate the needs of my guests and ensure smooth, well-organized tours. Beyond the rich history, I am also passionate about Dubrovnik's vibrant art scene, local culture, and delicious food and wine. This broad range of interests allows me to tailor tours to different preferences and answer a wide variety of questions, ensuring a comprehensive and insightful exploration of the city
